Hm, interesting. Or maybe a remake of another Hitchcock movie - Marnie - with Gerry in the Sean Connery role.

I watched The Hobbit today. I so would have loved to see Gerry in the role of the dwarf prince instead if Richard Armitage. Gerry's Scottish accent would have fit much better than RA's English one... I wish Gerry would have gone for that role. I know he loved LOTR, even tried out for the role of Aragorn which went to Viggo Mortenson.

Haha I immediatly thought of Gerry when I heard some of the dwarves voices. He would be perfect for such a role. Off topic: However I am glad that the role as Aragorn went to Viggo, he´s my perfect Aragorn

Gerry would have been too young for Aragorn and Viggo was great. Armitage made a hot dwarf and I liked him but Gerry would have been fantastic in the role....

I agree. Gerry would have been perfect for the dwarf prince. But he would have had to go live in New Zealand for a year or more to work on it and they still have to go back next year and finish it. That may have been enough reason he didn't want to do it.

I too like the 40s films. I think Rebecca, Marnie etc remake would be great. Also G loves Robert Mitchum, Lee Marvin, David Niven -- remaking a movie or more would be great. Gone with the Wind would be good.

Lately I have seen an italian movie about Saint Francis of Assisi , I think that for Gerry would be great to play a biopic role, a strong personality, like a saint or someone that has done something really important. A character full of complexity and facets.
I would like to see him also in a movie directed by a woman , as is happened with Dear Frankie.

Yes, he should work with director Kathryn Bigelow, she is making one critically acclaimed movie after another. Jessica Chastain is in her latest one Zero Dark Thirty.
