By my estimation, it would probably be sometime near the end of February to March sometime. It's hard to pinpoint exactly because there is no real formula, but Gamer is out on DVD on January 19th and that was out a month and a half before LAC.

Yeah but Gamer sucked!! lol I'm surprized they didn't get it out before Christmas to milk the sales for the holidays.

Not all of it sucked; for me, it was just the parts with Society. I liked the Slayers bit, lots of action and Gerry kicking butt.

Honestly girls..."Gamer" sucked ...so did "Nim's island" in my own opinion.....i can watch Gerard just lying on a sofa sleeping for countless hours, i assure you, yet on cine- phil criteria those movies were less than mediocre ....and it was all the director's fault, i think... Gerard needs to be accepted and get proposes by the really big and worthy directors of Hollywood...!

It really is a crap shoot when it'll come out. Harry Potter came out in mid July and tomorrow will be available on DVD. That's definitely a Christmas marketing ploy.
Gamer was disappointing because to me it had real potential but got weighted down with superficial nonsense. The Gerry story could have been developed more without all that extraneous cultural garbage.
Nim's Island was cute but somewhat disappointing compared to its predecessor, P.S. I Love You.
Back to LAC. After seeing that interview with Gerry saying he originally wanted the Jamie Fox role, I've looked at LAC a little differently. I really loved Gerry as Clyde. I wonder what a different movie it would've been with him as the prosecutor.

I don't think LAC would have been the movie that it was without Gerard as Clyde. Jamie Foxx hit on it in an interview, how when Gerard is up there on the screen we sort of expect a certain thing from him and then -- BAM! -- something unexpected happens. I don't think many people could have pulled Clyde off the way he did. You have to like Clyde a little bit to want to cheer for him otherwise he can be written off as just plain crazy. And Gerard's delivery makes a lot of his lines. And really, Jamie as Nick made a lot more sense too, at least to me anyway.

I just checked Walmart and, on February 16, 2010, Law Abiding Citizen will be out on DVD. I can get screen shots of Gerry in that pivotal scene (you know the one )

Just watched LAC and...OMG...did anyone expected this ? The end came so suddenly, leaving me with a bitter feeling and certainly the story didn't had a catharsis at all.... What was the point of all these things ? Did the system changed ? At the very last scene, when Nick and his wife were watching their daughter's music performance i couldn't think but Clyde's less fortunate family...What about you ?

Clyde was angry that Nick took a deal with the man who killed his wife and daughter, and then, while he was in prison for killing that man, Nick was still making deals with a murderer. At the end, I think Clyde was satisfied with Nick's answer that he no longer makes deals with murderers. IMHO, I think that was all Clyde wanted; he hated that Nick was willing to make a deal with a murder just to up his conviction rate, instead of doing what was right and that was trying to put both men behind bars. Clyde wanted him to try, instead Nick went for the easy out.
