from:http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/display.var.2460905.0.gerards_film_is_underfire.phpGerard's film is under-fire THE future of Gerard Butler's latest film has been thrown into doubt after his director quit.
Academy Award-nominated Frank Darabont left the production of Law Abiding Citizen just days after it lured in Jamie Foxx.
The "psychological thriller" produced by Paisley-born Butler was set to begin filming in Detroit, Michigan, within weeks.
Now the project is without a director, and Foxx's involvement could also be in doubt as he reportedly has not yet actually signed a deal.
The relationship between Darabont, who wrote the screenplay for The Shawshank Redemption, and the film was said to have "ended ugly".
Butler, who stared in the Greenock-set Dear Frankie and the battle epic 300, launched Evil Twins production firm with his manager Alan Siegel and Law Abiding Citizen would be their first work.

WHAT!!! WHAT!!!! FILMING IN DETROIT!!!!!
OH MY FREAKEN GOD....SOMEONE HAND ME A PAPER BAG I AM HYPERVENTILATING!!!!!
Casting call here I come for extras whooo hooo!!!!
I had read and they have been saying that Detroit is becoming a town where quite a few movies are going to start being shot at. The reason being we are cheap and Detroiters are so bored we are dying for some Hollywood excitement. So the city happily will shut down streets in the down town area if the movie calls for a generic city scene....We have tons of sky scrapers so we can be any generic American city. We have a water front as well as tons of seedy area's. There is an old terminal at Detroit Metropolitan airport that I hear was bought from Hollywood at a reasonable price. They were going to tear it down, now its going to be a place to shoot movies....WHOOOOOOOT!!!!
With my freaken luck this movie will fall through!

www.totalfilm.com/news/michael-gambon-joins-law-abiding-citizenMichael Gambon joins Law Abiding CitizenAs do Colm Meaney, Leslie Bibb ad Theresa RandleBY James White Jan 6th 2009 8:08AMFILED UNDER: Movie newsBe the first to comment Michael Gambon, Colm Meaney, Leslie Bibb and Theresa Randle have joined the cast of Law Abiding Citizen. The film, which already stars Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx, is set to be directed by F Gary Gray starting later this month. Sheldon Turner (who penned The Longest Yard) has recently been hired to polish up the script originally written by Kurt Wimmer, and which has already been re-written once by David Ayer. Frank Darabont And let’s not forget Frank Darabont, who had been set to direct the film before leaving due to creative differences. After a quick game of role reversal, Foxx is now playing the wronged father who sets off on a vigilante course against a District Attorney (Butler) he blames for his family’s deaths. But who know who’ll be playing what by the time the final rewrite arrives?

Did they change it again? First they said that Gerry would be the DA and Foxx would be the vigilante. Then they changed it to Gerry being the vigilante. Now, it sounds like they put it back again. AARGH! Make up your minds people.

Gerard Butler And Jamie Foxx’s ‘Law Abiding Citizen’ Fills Out Cast
As much as we would like to see Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx just hanging out onscreen for two hours, it’s probably better that they have finally found a cast to act alongside. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Gambon, Leslie Bibb, Colm Meaney, and Theresa Randle have joined the cast of “Law Abiding Citizen.” Not a moment too soon either — the film is expected to begin shooting on January 21st.
“Citizen” centers around a district attorney (played by Foxx) who orchestrates a plea bargain that sets free the killers of another man’s family. The aggrieved victim (played by Butler) then seeks personal justice from the D.A. There’s no hint yet as to what roles our new castmembers will be taking on.
“Citizen,” which marks the producing debut of Butler’s shingle, Evil Twins, has already had its share of behind the scenes drama. After casting Foxx, the film promptly lost its original director, Frank Darabont, and had to quickly replace him with F. Gary Gray. Foxx and Butler then switched roles — Butler was originally set to play the D.A. and Foxx the justice seeking citizen.
The film’s plot has shifted a few times from being a “Death Wish” vigilante story, to a story about a criminal mastermind keeping the city hostage from prison, and back to one of personal justice.
Apparently, Sheldon Turner (”The Longest Yard”) has just finished more production work on the script, which was originally penned by Kurt Wimmer, and has been tweaked by Darabont and David Ayer (”Harsh Times.”) By the time cameras start rolling, perhaps the vigilante character will resemble our favorite Dark Knight!

AHHH....hell ya ! HA!!! I remember him talking on Leno about him worrying about that scene and I must say that although he looks awfully sexy making that face he is way to pretty. Honestly I remember Eddie Murphy doing stand-up about the faces men make while having sex and how scary they are. I have yet to see a man not lose his complete composure during his moment with the eyes squinched shut, face contorted and practically drool. A mans orgasm resembles a mild seisure. Take a look at this scene done by Ben Stiller... he nailed it!!!!

New piccie!! This look sets me on fire. You know usually I would agree whole heartedly but he is extremely pissed and I would hate to be at the receiving end of that look. I think that's the look you may get if he was in the middle of dinner with a date and you approached him at his table for an autograph. *shivers*
