OMG- kissthegirl - the wolf and the dove was my all time fav book as a teen. Can't think of how many times I read it! My Kindle is calling for a download and re-read. . A movie version would be awesome!

Oh yes Pammi. A favorite of mine for far too many years. I re-read it every 3 years or so, and love it more with each read.
Here is my dream cast:
Wouldn't Hugh Jackman be divine as Ragnor??
I would love either Vanessa Redgrave or Helen Mirren to play the mother Maida-although I could also get behind Meryl Streep.
I think Nicole Kidman would be perfect as the evil sister Gwynneth.
Christopher Plummer as the father, Erland, altho I would have preferred Richard Harris.
Mr Butler would, of course, be the most perfect Wulfgar. Fierce and loyal, full of passion and integrity. After seeing Mr B's incredible portrayal of Sam in MGP, I can't imagine anyone else in the role. At one time, I could also see Mel Gibson, Clive Owen, Russell Crowe, but now it is ONLY Mr B who fits the role to perfection. (except maybe FABIO!!! rofl)
Aislinn is always my most difficult role to cast. I've leaned toward a younger Kate WInslet or Charlize Theron, but they don't quite do it for me. Need a really great actress for that one. After seeing "My Week with Marilyn", I could see Michelle in it if she were just a few years younger. I really like Emilie de Ravin for the part, but I'm not quite sure she has the chops, or possibly Abbie Cornish. My most favorite choice would have been Marion Cotillard, but she is a tad too old for the part. Pity, cuz I really like her and admire her skill.
Any thoughts??

I would like to see Gerry do the "Premonition" with Sandra Bullock. Although Jim Hanson's role is a little bit upseting and "engaged" to death Gerry would be suitable for a successful businessman, father of two little girls, married to Sandra (Xoxoxoxo...xD) and be the lover of Amber Valletta. Anyway, I don't want to say that Julian McMahon is ugly but Gerry surely overshadows him.

It's funny we had this same discussion of GBF. GWTW was brought up in how Mr. Butler would make a great "Mr. Butler. (We also thought Patrick Wilson would make a phenominal Ashley). We also thought The Ghost and Mrs. Muir or a remake of the 1944 version of the Uninvited would be excellent

I want to see Gerry make a great Christmas movie. Not a romantic comedy but just a comedy. You know, I wonder if it's easier for a British actor to do a southern accent? I think it might be... although I can't hear it but a southern accent is supposed to be a hybrid of the Scot/Irish accent. Most of the settlers at the time were from those areas.

That's very interesting about the Scot/Irish and the southern accent.
I don't care what he does, I'd like it all. I'm very easy to please. I liked him in the The Bounty Hunter so that should tell you plenty. Actually it was the movie that was bad not Gerry.

I'd love to see Gerry as a boxer. Showcase the training portion that he does anyway for the movies. Also like to see him in a father-figure role - maybe drama related. And I'm such a huge book fan. There are a hundred books I'd like to see come to light. Also, someone said a western...that's an AWESOME idea. I would think something big and sweeping along the lines of Australia with Hugh Jackman. That was a western-type feel, but had a really meaningful storyline, which I think Gerry prefers.
But honestly, anything that involves little to no clothing, is perfectly fine. The man could put on a nude puppet show, and I would stay totally riveted for however long... *ahem, 'scuse me* the show was.

I would love a remake of LadyHawke with Gerry as Navarre (the Rutger Hauer role)...and Vera Farmiga as Isabeau (the Michelle Pfeiffer role)...and Jay Baruchel in the Matthew Broderick role...and Ralph Fiennes as the Bishop of Aquila. And, give Gerry and Vera a nice interlude together (either in flashback or after the eclipse).

Oh how about the quiet man or the searchers. He's got the same build as the Duke. I would love to see him be a cowboy.
