Wow, I'm away a few days and come back to a Gerry-palooza! I really liked the Graham Norton interview; G seemed to be having fun. Noel Gallagher, is just, well, Noel Gallagher...nothing else to say about him. I loved the running joke G had with Moira..."why don't you send me postcards?!" He's too funny...Love it!

Can I ask something: What is this convention incident that Gerry was embarassed to talk about? On the show Moira said that about 100 women show up and Graham teased him about it.... Otherwise you may be referring to the time Gerry attended the convention. I think he may have been kinda geeked that he was actually what the convention was all about (it was early in his career), but then it gets awkward I suppose when you are the complete and total focus.

there are small gerard butler fan conventions held here and there in the U.S. and (i believe) there may be an international one or two out there as well. GBGals i think holds probably the most high-profile one in the U.S. to my understanding, it's like star trek conventions or anything else, a group of fans getting together to celebrate their fandom. a couple of the ladies that are members here have been to one of these, if i remember right. they can probably better answer this question

Re GB conventions, gals has theirs every year in early June in Las Vegas. I was there in '06 and '07. It was fun and the first year Gerry showed up as you know which gave many if us an almost heart attack But the convention is expensive especially if you add in flight and hotel. The height of Gerry conventions is over though. Is gbdotnet even still having it? They used to have them in Scotland and the US and I've been to a couple of the US ones as well, but 2008 was my last time. There are tons of smaller get-togethers. I used to be one of the five organizers of Gerryfest Indianapolis. Our first one was big, almost 100 people, but it dwindled down the following years and we had the last one in fall 2008. The New York city birthday bash is still going on. I was there in 06 and it was a ton of fun. And yes, it is a bit like a Star Trek convention, I've been to plenty of those and proud of it!
