I just remembered another funny story that was left out. They were talking about the paps and he said that there was this one in NYC who was waiting to catch him eating. Gerry admitted that he is not the best of eaters or something to that effect, jokingly of course. Everytime Gerry picked up his fork to bring it to his mouth, the guy would lift up his lens. Gerry would stop midway and the guy would bring down his lens. Whenever a lorry drove by, Gerry would try and get as much food in as possible so the guy would miss him. This went on for about an hour. It was really funny because Gerry, being Gerry, was acting out the whole thing and it was hilarious to see how he was showing how fast he was chewing when the lorry was driving by.

For the archives and posterity's sake, that should say: 5 Jan 12 (not 11!)

Just watched the whole thing. So maybe it is that i don't have an English sense of humour. Maybe it is that i don't have a sense of humour at all... Anyway, i didn't like it. I really found Norton to be over the top and not in a good way. His questions were rather silly for my liking... Anyway, i may not like interviewers who butter their guests up but this one could have used a bit of pc attitude. Making fun of a very recent near-death experience someone has had is just distasteful in my book... Plus, the Moira joke just went too far.

What do you girls think about how Noel Gallagher responded to Gerry's flattering comment to him about "Wonderwall" being his song (meaning that he loves it and sings it in karaoke any chance he gets) . . . to which Gallagher (smart-ass) retorts, "Uh, you'll find actually that it is MY song!" Poor Gerry. He says something sweet, and some insecure male feels threatened in stead, and shoots one back. It's lonely at the top, isn't G? '

Mr Gallagher is a notoriously cranky individual. I believe he is suing his brother at the moment. No surprise from me at the man's attitude.

Sometimes i think that Gerry has to stop being that modest and demonstrate a bit of diva attitude cuz some folks just need to have it! Lol!

In the video from last night's show, Graham shows a clip from Karen Gillan's new movie "We'll Take Manhattan." Did you notice the actress that shares that scene with her was also the actress that played Gerry's love interest in "The Jury"? Cool.

pothos Oh, no, I meant that Noel Gallagher, himself, responded sarcastically to G.'s comment (not Graham).

Anyway, i may not like interviewers who butter their guests up but this one could have used a bit of pc attitude. Making fun of a very recent near-death experience someone has had is just distasteful in my book... Plus, the Moira joke just went too far. You know I enjoyed it and thought it was fun, but it's OK that you didn't. The world would be a very boring place if everyone agreed all the time. I liked the little tongue and cheek poke at his fandom... anyone of us could sit in the audience and correct Gerry's recollection...LOL! Hence the name Weirdly Obsessed. I also liked the pokes at Gerry. He always gets that big silly smile and usually comes back with a similarly witty comment that is usually self deprecating. It always serves to make him more likable. I think he was truly freaked out about the surfing accident and I think it was pretty obvious that Gerry began to lose control. Gerry always said he lives in his own head and I think he likes to have as much control of his image as he can--proof being the utter humiliation he suffered over the Barbados pix. If Graham hadn't made light of Gerry's moment of almost coming unglued-emotionally in front of a world wide audience, by teasing him with the trained dog he may have beat himself up later wondering how the public perceived his near loss of composure.
