Actor Gerard Butler only learned he had a deformed ear when he had to shave his head for his role opposite Angelina Jolie in the "Tomb Raider" sequel. The Scot reveals ear surgery when he was a child left him with a mangled ear - but he wasn't aware how lopsided his head looked until he got into character for the 2003 film. He tells the upcoming issue of Men's Journal magazine he was born with "sticking-out ears," but his right one was pressed back in following surgery to save his hearing following a bout of tinnitus. Butler says, "I didn't realize it until I had to shave my head for that movie (Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life). Everyone went, 'Holy f**k, one ear sticks out way more than the other one!' And we literally had to glue it back." The Scot's hearing problems are also to blame for his "crooked smile." Butler, who still suffers from tinnitus and is hard of hearing in his right ear, explains, "I know a couple of other people with crooked smiles, and it turns out they're hard of hearing in one ear. When I was younger, I looked like I had a stroke." source This is an exceprt from the Men's Journal article Slightly crooked! Nothing I would have noticed

I love the crooked smile, it warms my heart to see it. So, W and Men's Health... not to mention a couple of movies this month (okay, so Dragon is just his voice, but what a voice it is), I think I'm gonna OD on Gerry. What a way to go. No intervention, please, I wanna enjoy my Gerry high.

This makes me so sad to read. Poor Baby! "Come get a hug, Gerry, honey" I have, more than once, read people's nasty comments on other websites. (We all know who they are, right ladies?) about him talking out of the side of his mouth. I have always thought it was cute and fit his personality, and now we actually learn the reaon for it. I hope those mean people will read this and feel really bad for what they have said about him. I love the fact that G is so real and doesn't hide anything. He is honest and not afraid to be vulnerable. This is one of the reasons why I think he's AMAZING!

Some guy did a video parody of Gerry on YouTube and did the whole talking out of the side of his mouth thing. He like some others I've read mistakenly attributed it to his needing to talk out the side of his mouth to do an American accent. I also read some pretty irritating stuff along these lines on rottentomatoes. Critics like to disparage him as much as possible, so they often attack the accent or the way he talks. I remember one saying about LAC that he was tired of "his mush mouth bravado". This really made me mad to read. Still, we all know his fans love him despite what critics say.

Thinking of that place gives me the hives and I'm only glad I finally don't have to go there to get our site noticed. It is such a negative place with so many very unhappy, mean people. Do you know that they fancy that place as some where Gerry surfs to read their comments. Talk about delusional. Why would anyone go anywhere just to be abused... I was abused almost every day there but I had an agenda. The only reason that place has a following is because its like a circus, or a train wreck.

I love the way he talks out of the side of his mouth. It makes me wonder. No one has ever noticed his one ear and it makes me wonder if soon after Tomb Raider did he get his other ear surgically pinned back. This gives me a whole new respect for him, bless his heart. You know, he's a lot more humble than a lot of stars as far as patience with fans. It makes me wonder if maybe having this as a child has kept him grounded.
My odd little point being that, I have heard men talking about stunningly beautiful women and they say the best kind are the ones that looked awkward as a child and teen and that blossomed when they reached adulthood because those type of gals are not only beautiful but have sweet personalities.

I find it sexy when he talks out of the side of his mouth... I love that crooked smile. Didn't know about the tinnitus, poor kid.
I read the article on him and it was so excellent... that penis question and his response made me laugh, it was such a Gerry thing to say. The only thing I had a problem with was near the beginning when they said he was fortunate to be linked to women from Lindsay Lohan to Jennifer Aniston. Are they kidding? Lindsay Lohan? That's not fortunate, that's UNfortunate.
