I started reading the Undead series by Mary Janice Davidson (dropped out of the Anita Blake series, can't seem to get into them after the Blue Moon, they just drag on and on) and there's a part in Undead and Unwed where Sinclair (really hot vampire! ) walks into the restaurant where Betsy and Mark are sitting and talking. Mark asks Sinclair to join them and asks if he wants coffee and Sinclair says "I don't drink ... coffee" (worded exactly like that in the book, no lie). It made me think of Gerry as Dracula.

I know, but it still made me giggle when I saw it. Betsy (the lead character) also mentioned Dracula 2000 as one of the vampire movies to see... makes me want to watch it again myself.

Watching the tube and they had a commercial advertising a new show called Cupcake Wars ... made me think of our favorite Scot with the sweet tooth.

I usually think of Gerry everyday all day sometimes not so much but once a day is the norm. My husband found out about my obsession when every movie and rental I got had Gerry on it then he found out about WOGBF before the butt signatures were banned but still brings it up all the time even though I told him we got reported and they had to come down and I never had them on my post but sadly he still remembers them. I tell Matt my husband Gerry reminds me of him but it doesn't fly oh well at least he understands and doesn't complain too much except when I corrected him the other day that it was pronounced Gerard not Gerald then he said if doffuss had a show on all day I would watch it too like he does with NFL football OK we all had our addictions. My sickness is I guess an escape from reality is when a news story comes on or my mind goes into fantasy mode Gerry and I are off on some adventure and keep going my daydreams just seem to have minds of their own. But yesterday I was waking up I had just been dreaming about that we were stuck on a plane that landed in NYC but they wouldn't let us off and I freaked out and stood up to grab my carry on bag with my MP4 player the flight attendant got mad and told me to sit and I said if I don't get to listen to it she was going to see a full blown panic attack unless she could morph into Gerry and sing POTO Music of the the Night. Next thing I know Gerry stands up because he had been sitting 3 seats down from me since I didn't even notice slight fear of flying issue I don't look around to much just want off and on ASPA. He told me he would sit by me if that would help so the person sitting by me traded seats and we got to sit together and listen to Music of the Night as we shared ear buds then he took the one out of my left ear and sang the end of the song in my ear quietly I looked at him and smiled he wiped the tears from my eyes and and started kissing my passionately then I woke up.

What made you all to think of him some different way than the other actors for the first time? Was it movie that you watched with him playing or seeing him in person or what else?I'm asking this cause as I remember there was no such 'infection with a actor/person'for a long, long time for so many female persons all around world Attachments:

The first time I laid eyes on him in Attila. I saw him that first time on screen and I was hooked. He has such presence. I couldn't get that handsome Scot out of my head even though I was running a web site for another actor... That was the beginning for me.

Seeing him for the first time in Mrs. Brown look over at his drunken brother a couple of times with such pain, empathy and compassion tempered with embarrassment it made me sit up and take notice. Then to watch him slowly get up and walk him away from the table I fell 200% in love with him. Yet a the time I'd no idea who he was.
Then I saw him in The Jury, same man... falling for different reasons... the power of justice and fairness were addicting. Not to mention his purging through cinema his real-life demons (one of them) and yet I still didn't know who he was.
Then it was POTO, and the rest is... as they say... history!

Um, like all the time....if a birthday falls on his, I see a tall guy with his build, I hear about other celebrities and figure out how many degrees of separation to Gerry, when his movies are on TMN and I scroll to it to see his name, any and everything that has some link to him (or I figure out a link to him).....it's sad - that's like everything!
Just this morning I was waking up my son and he has a sign on his door with his name and if you mix the letters around you come up with Go Gerry! His name is Gregory..... Crazy eh?
HUGE sigh...

I'm with Dianne -- the first time I saw Gerry was January 30, 2001 on USA Network in "Attila" I was awestruck and couldn't tear myself away from the TV. I felt the need to know everything I could find out about this man. And so it began ... and continues ... wouldn't have it any other way... crazy? insane? I think not!
