I'm watching RocknRolla tonight Daisy, you need to tell us what you think!!! Ok....putting aside the fact that Gerry was in it! I really liked it, I hadn't really read too much about the film before I saw it but from the trailer I had seen I was looking forward to watching it. I Like Guy Ritchie as a director, so I had an idea of what to expect from the film. I thought Tom Wilkinson was good in his role, which was quite different to anything else I had seen him in. I thought Gerry was very good, this was definately one of his best recent performances, he came across so naturally, funny and Scottish! If there is a sequel I really hope he is in it

If there is a sequel I really hope he is in it well ladies, got to tell ya...saw the film (nice BD gift tee hee) and guy ritchie...i've never seen any of his stuff but what an interesting style - slick, humorous, coloring unique, great story teller like speilburg but with an english grunge twist! who stands out - the narrator - mark strong (the aquiline nosed, deep throated italian/austrian species) yet another compeling actor coming out of britain very handsome inspite of the 'hair' and OML gerard butler was fabulous, he's great as a stand alone as well as playing with the 'oye-boys'...wanted MORE of him in this film. his charismata and humors apparent. i think guy richie (like cohens & clooney) is 'his' director (?)did anybody catch the little 'tension' between GB and strong...it works real well though. i'm not sure if i'm keen on seeing GB bi-sexual undertones,(?) i'm tryin' to be open minded esp. after a true heartfelt watch of 'brokeback mtn'....all things explored for arts sake, i suppose.

I watched it with commentary and near the end, Guy said he was working on the script for the sequel. We just have to cross our fingers and hope Gerry is available to do it.

I found this www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/article2120032.eceShock 'n' RollaIN a sad day for film fans, it looks like there won’t be a sequel to GUY RITCHIE’s excellent RocknRolla. Despite winning glowing reviews for the Lock Stock director, lead actor TOBY KEBBELL says it didn’t make enough money to warrant a follow-up. I gave the film and actor Bizarre Awards this year. But Toby told me: “I had a great time working with Guy, well as much as you can eating one meal a day to play a skinny junkie. "I'd love to work with him again but I don't think there will be a follow on to RocknRolla - as it didn't take enough money." "I've certainly not been approached to do another movie."

That is really not his call is it!?! They have no idea what total amount of money it will make until the DVD gets circulated. Guy Richie movies are cultish and he has a good following. His Lock Stock and Snatch are cult favorites and are always in the Top 10 on Net Flix. I like Toby, but he is not a studio head and really has no read on what 'makes enough money'! There are some pretty suspect movies out there that have been made into sequels. I'm not saying RockNRolla will be 100% made into a sequel, but Richie has enough coin now to make it as an independent film and find distribution on his own - even if it goes to DVD. Thanks Madonna!

Me too. I think if Guy wants to make the movie and he gets the people he wants, nothing will stop him from making this film. All we have to do is hope and pray it happens and Gerry is in it.

I finally got to watch Rock N Rolla yesterday! Gerard is in it! Loved the resturant scene, he has got some very sexy looks. Sorry, I've not been about but I've been working on a special project plus I've been very busy with work. Hope everyone is doing well.

My fave [part was the slow dance with Gorgeous Bob and the look on Gerry's face. When he wants to look unhappy, he can really look unhappy!

That part is so funny. And in the credits, Handsome Bob puts his hand on Gerry's arse; Gerry moves Bob's hand to his back instead.

I finally saw it last night...Went ahead and rented it. Told hubby not to disturb me in my evening with Mr. B LOL Hubby didn't disturb at all, he fell asleep (shame on him!)
I loved it, it was a very good movie...When he gets pissed at Handsome Bob in the car and gets out, the way he says Dirty bastard, that made my evening!LOL
