Wow! Being in a Gerard mood ( after watching "Timeline" on TV the day before yesterday and expecting "Attila" on Friday) somehow i decided to watch PSILY again....allright, not actually watch, merely fast forward it to the Gerard scenes. You all know that it was the movie that got me hooked in first place and i was totally gone after seeing POTO next. Wow again ! How NOT to notice him ? He ruled all over the movie. His glances at Holly spoke volume ( karaoke scene) his movement towards her at the Irish pub....oh, my God ! The guy is a great actor.Period. Did i mentioned i'm totally heels over head with him?

Watched this movie AGAIN. Who knows how many times it's been. I've watched the first 10 minutes ten times more than I've watched the rest of the movie. And I fast-forward to Gerry's scenes too. This movie not only makes me cry, it makes me weep, bawl, sob and mewl.
I'm crying now just thinking about it. Tonight it made me think about the first time I saw my husband. You know, I remember that EXACT moment and he does too. Want to know what crossed my mind when I first laid eyes on him? "Man, what a scurv." That was it -- no kidding. But then, almost like someone was talking to me in my mind I thought, "Don't think that. He might be a really good guy." Isn't that weird to remember one moment in my life so clearly?

That sounds so wonderful Okie. My mom and dad met in a really adorable way. My mom was 20 and worked at a cute little subshop in salem. She was this tall thin brunett beautiful thing of a woman. She was the one who worked behind the counter. Then one day this muscular long haired blonde man came in and ordered a sub. My mom processed his order and he went on his way. The next day he comes in and orders the same thing. And everyday after that for a week. Finally getting up the courage to ask the pretty brunette out my dad asked her on a date to a bar where there was a aerosmith cover band (moms fave band) they go and then go back to his place. She opens his fridge to find it filled with subs. (My father was a golden gloves boxer so one sub was a treat there was no way he could ruin his diet) and they fell instantly in love. Got married and had their frist kid when my mom was 22 then me at 24 and my little brother at 34. They are now.. divorced sadly. But I've always loved their story.
I hope one day ill have a cute story like that. I can't see myself ever getting married. I don't know why. I'm just really not a relationship person I guess. I'm very solitary. I can be alone for a long time. I love just being alone and doing my own thing...humm

Walmart has PS I Love You as part of a Valentines Special so I had to run out and get it. I recorded it on my PVR but I do prefer to get the DVD copy, just adding onto the collection slowly. Well if they didn't have all the Valentine's Day DVDs on special in cute pink boxes, ahhhh

I saw that too, at Target. I snagged a copy on sale right after Thanksgiving, but I love the Valentine's Day packaging idea. They have a lot of my favorite chick flicks in those special boxes. I know I'd rather have a movie for V Day than chocolate or flowers, but maybe I'm weird.

I have seen this movie many times and will play it again - I have not lost a spouse and yet I know I would feel just like Hillary's character if I lost my soulmate too soon let alone ever and I have certainly had enough people around who have done just that. I find the crying cathartic. My other favourite movie is Truly Madly Deeply with Alan Rickman and Juliet Stevenson which is same subject matter if not done with a different twist. Woman loses her love, his ghost comes back, she thinks to stay with her forever but really just to help her over the grief and get her life back. If you haven't seen it, you must.
Tori those promo styles are breathtaking - you can see now that they really used a very specific lighting that made all those photos along with a natural chemistry between those 2 make those photos very hot and fun at the same time.
I was watching the Bio Channel on Hillary Swank - 2 times now I missed the one section about Hillary working on PS I Love You except I did just catch this story I will tell you - I am taping the 2:00 am to avoid this happening a third time. First time I was channel surfing and forgot second time I fell asleep and just woke up as they were telling the story below.
But apparently when they were shooting the scene with Gerry in the boxer shorts, at one point, unbeknowst to either Gerry or Hillary, the suspenders got caught in one of the props as Gerry was getting closer and closer to Hillary and like a slingshot, it finally got so tight it went flying over Gerry's head and hit Hillary in the forehead and she was cut really badly - good thing it did not fly into her eye but tough chick she is she was back on set in 2 days after getting fixed up and stitched up.
I anyway had never heard this before.

I think I might have found it here on WO, I just don't remember where. Anyway, Enjoy! extratv.warnerbros.com/videos/?autoplay=true&mediaKey=4fbc0d7e-2d64-46ad-9470-a0383f082696

Thanks Dianne. I did find it here on the board some time ago, so I don't know if I really deserve the karma, but it's greatly appreciated I just think he is so cute and funny in this interview. I love it when he says "Sorry Darlin'" to the camera. Talk about honesty.

Truly Madly Deeply is one of my favorite Alan Rickman films. A lot of the new people here don't know this, but I used to be a HUGE Alan Rickman fan, watched everything from Die Hard to Snowcake (excellent film with him and Sigourney Weaver! I would recommend this even if you AREN'T an Alan fan). I always cry when I watched TMD, it was so touching and Jamie was so sweet (his character in TMD for those who don't know him). This movie was early in his career and around the time of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (he was awesome as the Sheriff!!).
