I doubt this is true AT ALL. Especially with the little-more-than-lukewarm reception of "Man Of Steel" (it's doing very well, but could have done better in money and reviews) and with Cavill saying that a "Justice League" movie is far away. There's also a 2014 date for a "Wonder Woman" movie and it has been said by several insiders that there's not even an acceptable script in existence. Besides, Aquaman might not be a popular enough character for a stand-alone. Maybe. I wonder if this has more to do with Chasing Mavericks' stunning cinematography and some wishful thinking... While I understand that CBMs are a niche, the well-made/-received ones have proven to launch/extend/revitalize a lot of careers. Robert Downey, Jr (Iron Man), Post-houmous OSCAR-WINNER Heath Ledger (Joker), Christian Bale (Batman), Gary Olman (Gordon), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), etc. Most didn't know Cavill, despite his role on "The Tudors," until he donned the red cape. I personally think that Nump-Nump could ROCK HARD as a well-crafted, seething VILLAIN in one. No sketchy "flawed character/anti-hero" like "Cradle of Life" or "LAC." Just out there and AWWWWWESOOOOOOOME.

I can't for the life of picture Gerry as Aquman. I read a few comics of Aquman ( that right , i'm comic girl and i'm proud of it). I don't think that he's into superhero genre om movies either .I could be wrong , Gerrry never stops surprising me. The thing i'm also tired of Superhero movies too. I would like to se more romantic , drama or historial movies. Right now i really love to see Gerry in time period move m thriller or horror movie.
I saw the Man of Steel movie and tought that it was okay. I grew up with Christopher Reeve as Superman( God rest his soul) and i'll always his take on Superman. Most kids to day might think that the moveies silly by todays standars , but it just proves that a buch a modern spesial effects does't make a move better. I wonder what Reeve would have thought of the new Superman movies if he still was alive today.

I agree, cannot for the life of me picture Gerry as Aquaman. But, I always have to smile how the comic book/video game crowd always have Gerry on his list for a super hero character. Gerry is definitely a "save" the world kinda of guy a genuine leader.
I think they should pick Johnny Weston from Chasing Mavericks, he looks the part and we know he can swim and surf!

Johnny Weston would be a good pick. Agree!! also he looks like him (Aquaman) Btw, when I was a little girl I was a little in love with this character Ditto , Johny would do great as a young , naive Aquman. I really liked the characther , cause he was all about saving marine life and people of course. I wish i could speak Whale ;-) Pluss he's a hottie when they don't do the Conan the barberian from the sea thing , like they did in early in the 90's. With the beard and the hook.
