As being a bit of a bibliophile I was wandering If anyone knows what kind of books Gerry reads since I saw him reading books on a couple of pictures... Does anyone know?

I think he also possibly read 50 Shades of Grey. He was asked if he was going to do the movie and he said no he did not need to do a movie on what he can do in his private life plus he did Jimmy Kimmel skit where he is tearing the book apart. I think he at least skimmed it. I think he did read the Secret. He does read for enlightment but also read for movies too as he is doing the Persian one as producer, Septembers of Shiraz by Dalia Sofer. Also Garden of Last Days by Andre Dubus II is in project development on his IMDB.

I read Shantaram and I could not put it down. Believe me over 900 pages goes to fast. Excellent read.

Gerry reading Robert Burns. Does anyone know if this movie is really going to get made with Gerry? View AttachmentI wonder that also RnR, I read the book that the movie was originally from and it was Burns' adventures as a very young man. I don't know how Gerry could play someone that young unless the script was Burns retelling the adventures in his own voice, flashbacks or something clever like that so I am doubtful. As Burns did not even live to be forty, in the book he is very young (teens even.) Too bad because he would have been perfect for the role. Maybe the writers can rework the script and we can at least see and hear Gerry as Burns at the end of his life reflecting on his time?

Shantaram is a great book all 900+ pages. I read up to the last 200 pages in 2 weeks could not put it down and slowed up reading because I did not want it to end. I have heard that G is looking to maybe make a movie at least talking about it. He is friendly with the author.
