I loved Bram Stoker's novel. The first book I bought with my own money as a kid. I read it several times and started my fascination with vampires. The Coppolla movie while flawed had its heart in the right place, some better casting, sorry Keanu was horrible and that was a key role, Winona was OK but, Sadie Frost was fantastic as well as Richard E Grant and Gary Oldman was stunning. I liked the romantic notion about Prince Vlad, crossing oceans of time to find his true love and that he turned vs God because his true love was killed and how could God do that when he was out fighiting for God. That was a brilliant choice script wise. Here is that twitter photo thought we'd save it

Gerry's hand looks huge in this picture. Oh my gosh jeannie.....where did you EVER find this pic? you know, the curve of his throat to his pectorals remind me of a greek carving...out of marble. does it not. if gerry were alive then i believe he would've been a perfect model for one of those famous italian sculptors....definately. yes. gush gush gush....

It wasn't me...Canadia found it. Yes, his body looks like a sculpture...He could have been a great model if the acting career hadn't worked out...

Here's my best shot, Kamoani. Van Helsing was shooting up with ol' Drac's blood to extend his own life. Because Dracula's blood became part of Van Helsing and then Van Helsing was Mary's father, part of Dracula was in Mary. Drac was drawn to her because part of him was in her....well, that and maybe he wanted to put another part of his in her. And if I remember correctly, at the very end, we see a little bit of vamp expressed in Mary.

Dracula 2000 is on The Movie Channel tonight at 9pm and then again early tomorrow morning at 12:15am.
This movie is one of my guilty pleasures. He is so seductive and when he reaches out his hand to have a woman come to him...well...I think we can all agree it would be difficult to refused. Again, if that had been in 3-D, women would have been topping forward out of their seats to get to him.
