Hummmm....Has to think on this one...First of all Lucy is a lucky bitch. If I were the other vamp girls I would be totally jealous!
All in all Gerry is the best looking Dracula I have ever seen but the script was very weak.
Dracula can transform into a bunch of birds but can't escape a noose? I also get uncomfortable when a movie delves into the crusifiction... but that is just my hang up. I quit reading Anne Rice's Vampire Books when she tip toed down that path.
All and all it was a worth see but weak at best. I'm probably a little disappointed in Wes Craven. The movie could've been better.

I thought the same thing with the birds but then my friend Amie who is like obessed with Vampires is like, "well maybe he has to have space. no contrictions." O k a y... But I agree that GB is one of the hottest vamps in awhile. And the whole cross thing or anything dealing with religion is not only your hang-up. I get antsy too when I see that. I think it was clever how GB was Judas Iscariot and this was his punishment thing, being a vamp, but then I think...how is that a bad thing...besides the killing and blood thing. I mean hello being sucked on by Gb while doing it...doesn't seem so bad to me. ;D

Not much of a punishment.

Scipt? What script? I wasn't looking at the script. ;D
Gerry was an amazing dracula. The commentary track on this film is pretty funny. They talk about Gerry a lot.

Dracula can transform into a bunch of birds but can't escape a noose? Maybe it was like in the Stoker's novel where Dracula was bound to his human shape after the sunrise. Sun was rising when Mary hanged Drac so maybe he lost his abilities at the moment. I see some bigger inconsequence here. When Drac attacked that TV lady, sun was setting but it was still light. How could he walk there and not burn, huh? By the way, hello ladies, newbie here

I agree I thought wait a minute....He turns into smoke and then he hangs....Why didn't he turn into smoke? And then I thought he's being punished and he is living the life of the undead easily seducing every pretty female around....How many men would take the life of the undead if that would happen. I think they'd be lined up around the block to get the deadly kiss. To tell you the truth for Gerry fan its a must see but as a movie as a whole I would give it a 5 1/2 to a 6. To many unanswered Questions. I give Gerry a ten for being able to talk with fake fangs. I think a just punishment for the undead would be; he would burn with desire but his lower region would look like this...now that would be a brutal punishment....

And then I thought he's being punished and he is living the life of the undead easily seducing every pretty female around....How many men would take the life of the undead if that would happen. I think they'd be lined up around the block to get the deadly kiss. Uhm, I can imagine that queue... Being more serious, Drac, in spite of his womanizing abilities, is therribly lonely. His seductive powers are pretty useless, because he needs a lady who, like him was born, not bitten, a lady who understands what it means to be a vampire, but still has human emotions and feelings. Dracula can feel and feels, he carries this heavy emotional burden of his betrayal, but the people he turned into vampires seems to feel only lust, for blood and for sex. And the biggest punishment for Drac was that he wasn't able to forgive himself. He hated silver, crosses and so on, because it remembered him about his guilt. He transferred his great anger from himself to Jesus, trying to lessen his guilt. "You made me to do it, I had no choice". So he was left hanging between life and death until he would be able to face his sins, to forgive himself and ask Jesus for forgiveness. By the way one o the varieties of Undead in slavic folklore were people rising from their grave to pay for their sins in that way. They were condemned to walk the Earth as Undeads untill they fulfilled some specific task. So in some way makers of D2K came back to the roots of the vampiric myth.

That is very interesting. Did you read the original Bram Stokers novel?
I myself never read that one but I do enjoy Vampire genre. I read all the Anne Rice, The Twilight series, the Undead and Unwed series, as well as Laurell Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire executioner books.

That is very interesting. Did you read the original Bram Stokers novel? "Dracula" is one of my most favorite books ever! And Count Dracula is my favorite fictional character, although I'm deeply interested in historical Prince Vlad Dracula too. I must say that, although the movie owerall was pretty crappy, Gerard is one of the best, most charismatic (and sexiest) Draculas I've ever seen, together with Gary Oldman ans Frank Langella.
