This is not directed to anyone here on this board.... Let me start off by saying that cause I love all you ladies.... If he loses fans or fans lose respect for him because they suddenly realize he's human... Good residence to them. WE ALL have done things that we are ashamed of and that would disappoint others if they found out....All of us. Gerry is not Jesus so judge not... and people who live in glass houses.... well you know what I'm trying to say.  (I think you meant good riddance, though) I'm in that corner. If Gerry smoking makes you jump off the wagon, don't let the tires run your ass over. How dare people be so judgmental to think that (and they are out there). There is only One Judge of the Universe, and it ain't any of us! I think fans fell for the characters, not the man, and when they see he's *gasp* HUMAN, they are disillusioned and feel let down. So adios. That being said there is nothing wrong with being disappointed and sad FOR HIM. We ALL want him healthy and to live as long as he can (and hopefully out live us all). I can understand long-time fans being sad about this, no doubt. But what I see is a man who has a very stressful life BECAUSE HE ISN'T MR. HOLLYWOOD. He takes his job very seriously, and everything to heart. I would much rather see him smoking than drinking - or God forbid, turn into a lunatic like Charlie Sheen (the best antithesis to Gerry I can think of). I think we're beating this horse beyond death. Poor guy can't take a pee without it being over-analyzed. I hope he stays under the radar for a few days now. |

OOooooh, pretty surf board. I've been wanting to learn to surf so bad and I live less than thirty minutes from the beach but I'm just a big ol' procrastinator.

I wish Gerry the best and I know if he beat that smoking habit once he can do it again. I can imagine the stress factor from producing 3 films in one year may drive anyone back to smoking  The amount of money alone involved in these 3 projects would put me in cardiac arrest  I must say I was more worried about that look on Gerry's face in those photos especially since he has been looking so happy lately. I hope he didn't get bad news and is only grumpy because of the paparazzi catching him smoking. I like the new surfing photos from the dailymail.uk. By the way I checked out the site for Dianne Gabaldon and someone commented on that news article today and Dianne replied: I didn’t make that remark–or any others “quoted” in the article. UK newspapers are just notorious for this; they interview you, but then blatantly make up “quotes” to decorate the article. And this is based (loosely) on an interview I did in _2010_!, to boot!

I don't know how to reply directly to a post, but I wanted to sync in with Mrs. B...I wasn't complaining that Gerry's smoking again, I'm just sorry because I know he doesn't want to. As to whomever wondered if he would tell the truth in an interview if asked and I'm thinkin', "absolutely". I don't think he's really much on lying; he might try to avoid the issue but that's it. And, if we're really concerned about his health, we need to start worrying about the amount of caffeine and sugar he consumes every day with his Cokes, Red Bulls and Starbucks. Talk about living on the edge. But, that's one of the things we all love about him, isn't it?

Gerry looks like he's on top of the world in these pictures.......a man who's truly living his dream!!!! I love it when he's happy and all smiles!! He truly defines the word handsome and he's super nice to boot!!! He deserves only the best in life!!! I can hardly wait for his new movies to come out and all the fun interviews promoting them!!!
