OK I've been asked to tell about the Phantom Pheast so I'll do my best:
After taking the bus down to LA, my friend Rayna picked me up and we met our friend Be for dinner. Had dinner in West Hollywood at a great Deli and then just went back to the hotel room, had some wine and talked. Nothing Gerry related. LOL
Saturday, Be and I went to Hollywood and walked around, did the tourist thing and took this picture:

We paid for that. Most people put their own names on. We put Gerry's. LOL
We had lunch at the Roosevelt restaurant and it was really good. Highly recommend but expensive.
Cut to the dinner cause the rest is boring. We were at KATE MANTILINI in Beverly Hills. Very nice restaurant. There were about 35 or 40 of us for the dinner. We chose from chicken, beef or seafood; I had the chicken and it was delicious. There were lots of raffle prizes and a birthday cake for Gerry. Everyone just gabbed, many of us seeing each other for the first time since March. Lots of hugging and catching up going on.
Then the raffle, and I didn't win anything but my friend did. Just lots of Gerry junk, pictures, books, DVDs, jewelry, etc. We had drinks and lots of laughs and fun. Then the cake, which was delicious as well. When is cake NOT, though. LOL
Then my friends and I went back to the hotel before the movie. I needed to rest so I laid down for an hour. Then we went to the Crest Theater:

The woman who puts this together every year (Martha) does the most spectacular job. On random seats are long-stem roses with black ribbons, masks, crystals from chandeliers ... etc. This year I got a mask!
Watching Phantom of the Opera on the big screen is worth every penny ($15). It's just amazing and so wonderful to see. After the movie, Martha announced that she spoke to Joel Schumacher and he very much wants to attend next year and do a Q&A with us!!! So you'll all have to come! His people put it on his calendar so we're hoping that it can really happen!
Anyway, that's pretty much it. It's just a great day to spend sharing with other fans, celebrating Gerry's birthday, celebrating Gerry.
There are pics on Dot Net if anyone would like to check them out, but I'm not going to post them here cause they're not mine to post.
I hope many of you attend next year!!!!
