Some people think his cussing is a fault. I think he is a tad idolized in some circles. I love the fact that he cusses and tells bawdy jokes and barely has a filter from his brain to his mouth. I love that about him too. When he comes off in the media saying something completely inappropriate and I know he's joking... it just cracks me up... I love his bawdy sense of humor. I remember one comment he made about the chickens in Hang Over the movie... It was something like: "Did you notice the chickens in the hotel room? I know what those were for, because I've been there and done that..." Meaning his party/drunk days of course. Then he stops and thinks and says: "My career is now 100% in the toilet!" There was an uproar that day by his more "serious" fans... aka... *cough, cough" "His prudish following" and I thought, "Jeeze people he is he is kidding! Go download a sense of humor!

Me too ... he says "fuck" and my panties spontaneously combust.
I think because we "get" Gerry's sense of humor and we love how manly he is, and this includes swearing, it doesn't bother us so much. I love the man's bawdy sense of humor and wouldn't mind him telling me dirty jokes. To sit in a bar (or anywhere for that manner) and just talk and laugh with him would be so much fun.

Holy Cow just when I think I know everything about Gerry I learn so much more here. I remember Gerry telling us about his ear because they had problems with one sticking out in Tomb Raider and a Chinese paper said they had one person hold his ears to keep them warm when it was because of the one that stuck out. I looked up Mastoid Infection and OMG I thought it was just a growth removed didn't know it was such an intense surgery with so many possible server lifetime complications. Didn't know about the hearing loss I have noticed he does ask people to repeat things but I just thought it was the audience noise or the outside crowds. Wonder if that's why he doesn't smile that much when he posses with a fan he is self aware of the way the picture will turn out or it's a Scottish thing Craig Ferguson does the same thing in pictures doesn't smile in too many. About how he is in real life I just think what would I do in his shoes think about it I've seen a few you tubes where he has gotten mad at crazy fans following and was like get a life. Here's a taste where he gets mad at his manager look and listen how his voice raises at him I was like man don't get on his bad side but there's always make up sex. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV8JtRK9htw I worry about him not having someone to come home to I know kills the fantasy but he's not getting any younger but with his fear of commitment and his public life it's going to take one special girl but it don't matter till he wants to settle down. Sorry I'm a romantic at heart and want everyone to be happy.

It's great that Gerry is not afraid to show his real side, and the fact that he thought Alan was being disrespectful by being on the phone. I'm sure the two of them have the kind of relationship where they can cuss each other out, and then still be friends afterwards. One things for sure, you always get Gerry's honest opinion. If he's upset, you'll know it...There's no bs with this guy.

you do things on purpose to make them fail because some people get scared when it gets too intense so some people do things to make the other person break it off which is to sabotage your relationships, to ruin things on purpose even though you may not even be aware of it because you are afraid of getting hurt yourself if you let yourself fall too far....... Yep, sad, but sounds like me.

Enjoyed reading these comments. I had heard about his hearing problem and thought it had something to do with the pulling of the facial muscles. But always wondered about the foot, seemed on one photo at the shore he had a type of a soft brace like device or elastic support. I thought it was muscular. At times it seems more pronounced than others. Was it from an injury? His language makes him more lovable. Hay, he's Scottish I'm sure they look at the way we phrase things and think, well they are weird. But when you love someone, you should love them with all their faults and attributes. Don't change Gerry, it's why we love you.

Thandra, I am sorry but I missed this. I wouldn't say I was tongue tied, but more in shock. There was so much going on. When he told me that he wanted a picture of me, my sign, and him together.... I think I only blinked at him because he really didn't wait for and answer but motioned to somebody to get his camera. Then not a moment was wasted by him. He saw that little girl right away and said to nobody in particular, really just to compliment the little girl and make her feel good he announced, "Isn't she a beauty"!" I did agree, and said, "Yes, she is," and he motioned her over and had her mother snap her picture with him. Then I asked him to sign the sign and then he signed it, hugged me, gave me a kiss on the cheek and growled into my ear, "Thank you darl'in." He was off. I just remembered staggering away from him...LOL!!! I walked to a near by cop who had actually been very nice, (not the fat, young one you see in a lot of the pictures, he was a complete dick), and I grabbed his arm with both hands and said, "He kissed me!" He laughed.

I've heard of babies fitted with corrective shoes or have to wear a brace at night for a time to correct it. I would bet this is what it was with Gerry. He doesn't turn his foot in that often but only sometimes. As far as the brace they say he really hurt himself when he trained for 300 so maybe whatever you are seeing could be from that, and old injury getting inflamed.

I think you did make a good decision. Good for you, not very many women can resist the magnetic pull of The Butler.

Last year while he was filming 'Coriolanus' in Belgrade, accidentally I happen to be one night in the same club, right next to him.He looked at me for one moment and I just couldn't decide to approach.Shyness or something else but I didn't do it.Maybe in that one second I thought that he is also one normal human being and has the same right to have fun, relaxed and without 'crazy' funs around him.Probably I won't have another chance to meet him in person but...At that moment he looked so normal and ordinary like anyone around, talking and laughing and it seems to be good decision I agree with Dianne. I think you made a great decision. He IS a normal guy who needs to just hang out sometimes, and not be approached by several people.
