Thanks pothos. One of his nicer interviews. He sounded tired though. That's the second interview I've heard where he's happy to talk about Billy Connelly. He clearly has a lot of respect for him.

Why do the Italian clips look so much more romantic than in English? It is amazing how they can edit it so it looks so in sync with the language but they can't recreate his voice. Thanks, I enjoyed those clips. Justin has reason to be jealous, best I've seen Jessica in a love scene and most emotional I've seen Gerry.

Thanks, Elenoire, loved that interview. It must have taken a long time for him to be able to talk about that so openly which is one of the things that I admire about him.

Listened against my better judgment to the Mark Kermode review on BBC Radio 5 and it was a profoundly painful listen. He hammered both the movie and Gerard (even his hair got ridiculed) If you want to listen and discuss the interview it is up on the BBC Radio 5 Mayo and Kermode show at around 1 hour and 35 mins into the programme and I believe available on a pod cast for those who can access that technology.
One thing that I found sad was that Kermode seemed to imply in his review that the marketing people actually attempted to stop him actually gaining entry to the press screening which I find deeply depressing.
As Kermode is the most well known reviewer in the UK I cannot see the movie recovering from the onslaught it received. I know that it is no where near the best movie Gerard has worked on but hearing today's report was nothing short of depressing.
Still no word on its box office takings here in the UK. I wish I could bring you happier news. I was not even sure if making this post was the correct thing to do but at the very least you the other members who have seen the movie might have opinions on this incident.

I know it was not pre-screened for the press here in the US.

Thanks shellie! Great interview, almost 15 minutes www.heatworld.com/heatradio/2012/11/Heats-Boyd-Hilton-meets-Gerard-Butler/It's not often a Hollywood star shows up wanting to chat to heat radio, and particularly not a hairy, hot, handsome Scottish one So imagine the look of gloom that descended upon Lucie Cave's face when she discovered she couldn't be there for the arrival of one very fine Gerard Butler. Instead she sent along heat's reviews editor, Boyd Hilton, to meet Gerard in a swanky London hotel and talk about his brand new movie Playing For Keeps. It tells the tale of a ex-professional footballer (played by Butler) trying to sort his life out while lots of gorgeous soccer moms throw themselves at him and as Gerard reveals nearly featured David Beckham himself! It's in cinemas nationwide now and you can find out lots more about the movie online here. Have a listen to our full, un-cut interview between Boyd and Gerard - settle down and prepare to swoon at that sexy Scottish voice.

Going to see PFK tomorrow! WOOT!! Critics really piss me off. They spend a few hours of their life (assuming they even bother watching the whole film which I'm sure a lot of them don't) and destroy with a few words the months, even years that hard working people have put into a project. Well I am going to see it. If I don't like it that's my choice and my decision but the critics can kiss my Spartan arse!

Critics really bug me when they don't watch and tear it apart. But with G present or not, they just focus in and are destructive. Detest them.

Awww man I still have to wait until 11th April to see it in German theaters....but I will be in America in April so I could as well just watch it in America. The German title is "Kiss the Coach" (yes in English, haha). Whenever I want to watch a movie, I look at it's IMDB page first to see what the snobby wannabe cineasts of IMDB think about it and the current rating is really bad (5.2). Usually I can't bother seeing a movie when it has a rating below 6 or 7 but I'll watch it nonetheless! Ugh I hate waiting for a movie to come out in German cinemas because they always feel the need to dub it before releasing it to the German crowd (which I do understand of course but still....).
