Gerard Butler: Do women love him because they want to tame him?June 2, 2010 By Jaimie Mancham-Case chismetime.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/gerard-butler-5.jpgEverybody knows that Gerard Butler is a charming playboy, the kind of man that you read about and your mothers warn you about. The man who wants to have his wicked way with you, but doesn’t want to marry you. The man that makes your heart tingle and your skin heat up but you know you should avoid him. There is a certain enigma surrounding a man like that. And when he is handsome, rich, a movie star and has a cute accent to boot, it can be hard for many women to say no or not be attracted. And it seems as if Gerard Butler has that spell cast around many female fans, who seem to love him in every movie and ogle him in every magazine. But really his boorish ways haven’t been that romantic, from groping Jennifer Aniston’s butt to kissing a random lady in the street, Gerard Butler seems to get around town and seemingly gets no flack for it. So, is it because every woman is hoping that they will be the one to finally tame him?

NAH, I like him cause he if one fine looking man and he looks awesome in a pair of tight jeans.
After that initial attraction was established I continued to like him for just what I read about him. I am not put off by his tom catting ways, I love this mans personality and his public antics... I think he's hysterical and he would be someone I would want ion my circle of friends.

I don't have a problem with that. The man that makes your heart tingle and your skin heat up but you know you should avoid him. I'm with Dianne on this; his antics don't bother me and I would love to hang out with him. From what I've seen on his interviews, he tells the funniest and best stories.

He just looks like FUN.... but DO NOT fall in love with him. They should just put a warning label on his forehead: "Caution: For practice purposes only. Always wear a helmet." Goes for Gerard Butler and guys with motorcycles or guitars.
I used to always tell my (straight) male hairdresser stories about my bass player boyfriend... I'll never forget what he said to me once: "There are three types of males: Boys. Men. And Guys, who are stuck somewhere in that twilight between Boy and Man. You, my friend, have a Guy on your hands."

So true, Nilla! He is such the man-boy (guy) isn't he? Here's my list: 1. (I concur with Tuesday) He's fuckin' hot! 2. He's intelligent with a wicked sense of humor 3. I'm pretty sure he could actually fuck me senseless 4. He wants to be a good boy, but he just can't help himself when it comes to the ladies 5. He makes my toes curl when he whips out the Scottish burr full-on But I think what I like the most are the brains that come with all that beauty. I would LOVE to have this man as my friend. I would fantasize about more than that, but I'm smart enough not to fall into that trap. I imagine he'd be one of those guys who enjoys talking enough that you could shoot the shit and contemplate the universe over the course of a night-long conversation. But, that could just be my own private fantasy. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Great thread! I have to agree with you ladies on just about every point, but my favorite list is Okie's, for some reason! (Number 3 is almost too much to contemplate! And that tongue . . . do NOT get me started.)
The only thing I'd add is I'd love for him to help me decorate my place - he could help with my utter lack of chandeliers, I'm sure! Seriously, I think he'd be great to be friends with, talk about all kinds of subjects, even travel with, but I would always be thinking that if we could just kiss and hug a little, even make out a bit, it would be okay, and I could resist falling for him - yeah, right!! Oh well, I know my weaknesses, what can I say? All he'd have to do is open his mouth (and speak) and I'd be a puddle on the floor!

Hm, an interesting subject indeed. I don't know what to say to this subject. I'm sure Gerry is really great guy, even better privately. And yes, it would be great to have him as a friend. But I think that wouldn't be good for me. I'm too emotional, and to go through that kind of "state of feelings" again...it wouldn't be good. Well, I've heard this song looooong time ago, but I still LOVE it. And when I heard it a couple of days ago, it ( DEFINITELY) reminded me of Gerry. Because - this song is really about him...and about "trying to tame him". Useless... Enjoy, ladies. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpsdYEsN51Iwww.youtube.com/watch?v=tPegtGIBxuI

this is awesomely cute thread! what all you girls wrote i can certainly identify with. i think most girls can. 'why do women love gerry'? hmmmm, a question i've considered for nearly two years now (amazing)....why? is this seemingly ordinary man 'everything to everyone'? do each one of us gleen something personal, familiar, warm, charming....like a girlhood boy you'd wrestle, climb a tree with, spit seeds at, perhaps paint his toes.....then kiss.... gerry seems like that kinda guy....freedom loving, playful, sincere, intense, easy to love...and YES....i bet he's got a LOT to say...and, we'd listen, quite content, till the sun came up....... www.playlist.com/playlist/additem/789377553 just say 'yes' to someone out there....gerry , you won't regret it dear!
