Sounds good! I like Jason Bourne. The project is in hands of Antoine Fuqua. I don't know if it's a good thing, he made bad movies in the past, like Tears Of The Sun and King Arthur. I like Training Day though. Some guy posted the script is terrible. Really?! I mean, it sounds like a huge project. I hope Gerry'll get it!!!

I hope Gerry gets it, but if he doesn't, then I hope Matthew Fox gets it. I don't care for Colin Farrell. A franchise, this could be exciting, look at what Bourne franchise has done for Matt Damon. I wanted him to play Bond, but this might be better for him, his own agent that no one else gets to play but him. Bond has been played by several actors, it would be cool for Gerry to have an agent role that is unique for him.

I agree this does sound interesting. The Bounty Hunter's solid opening this weekend might bolster his chances over the other actors. And with him concentrating on 2 indie type movies next this could be a great mainstream big budget movie to have on his schedule.

OMG I am so excited!!! This is exactly what Gerry needs a good film adaptation of a great novel. THOSE make the best movies!!!! I would honestly love to see Gerry as Morrelli in Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels. It would be a great part for Gerry. Funny thing though it is a Bounty Hunter story and Morrelli is an x-New York City Cop gone bad and Morrelli is the one being pursued by the mad capped (Bounty Hunter) Stephanie. Awesome book if you ever get a chance to read it... It's called One for the Money. Anyway, thanks Prince for finding this, you are awesome girl!!!!

Interesting this is the same guy who twittered that Gerry had poured ice water on his lap at the Fun and Fearless afterpay. If the script was stellar, or you have the script in the hands of the right director there could be a possible franchise in the making.....which is where movies are trending anyway. Unfortunately the crticial bloodbath may not help his chances though action movies are more about presence than acting but a good action movie has both. Sorry but when the critics I tend to respect can't find anything good to say about TBH that is not good. However I think the studios would be crazy to give it to Matthew Fox. He has no proven record at the box office. Lost fans are fans of the show not necessarily just Matthew. Now put that Sawyer guy in a movie and now we are talking, that guy radiates heat. The real competition would be GB vs Colin Farrell and we are assuming any of these guys are interested. I would say they are probably standing about equal in terms of box office draw right now. Colin however has been more of a critical darling until Alexander.

I would like to see Gerry as Reacher in the Lee Child, Jack Reacher novels. Loner ex-MP, stories lots of suspense and action. Plus Child always has interesting romantic interests for Reacher. Although Reacher is supposed to be very tall, basketball player tall, no reason he can't be 6 ft 2 for the movie and played by G! He's the right age too.

It would be fun to look around for novels that would suit Gerry. I think if you were going to attack it like a producer, you would look for bestselling books, I'd go for more current bestsellers, maybe something that would have an indy edge to it, but something with a franchise potential ie a character that runs over several well written novels would be the ultimate. Probably easier to adapt a well written book then come up with a good original script. A really good novel the great dialogue would already be written.

Ironic Dianne did you know that Katherine Heigl has been cast to play Stephanie in One for the Money. Don't think it would be wise to go back to that teaming up, though I loved the two together, I personally think they had more chemistry than Jen and Ger on and off screen but the TUT script was also far more clever to start.

Hmmm- I thought the TUT script was kind of chunky and over contrived. The strength IMHO was they kept the tempo moving and it was sharply edited. The big mistake with TBH was it was too long, it should have been pared down considerably, too many pointless subplots ambled on far too long. It worked when the focus was on Milo and Nicole.

More clever or better written or as you say better edited than TBH is all I meant. I found the trailer for TUT funny and I found the movie funny and I am finding it funnier the more I watch it. Call me crazy. There is a humanity in the characters that seems to be missing in TBH. One of the reviewers hit it on the head - you have to like the 2 main characters in a rom com and if they are exes you have to imagine that they did love each at one time and that is what he found was missing, a guy reviewer who actually likes romcoms as a rule if you do the formula right. I guess I just find it hard to like Jennifer Aniston in any of her roles to be frank. When I saw the trailer for TBH I was hmmm not TUT for sure. I will never understand why Hollywood does not insist on having a well written script even before they put a dime on the project. It's like starting to build a house with a vague plan. It's a disaster waiting to happen. Sometimes you get lucky and superior actors can make lousy dialogue sound good or even a good editor post filming can save your film. But why risk it with that kind of money on the line?

Wow, that would be exciting... Matthew Fox? Nah... not for this role!! I agree with Canadia, the Sawyer guy is something and sure he would draw more audiences than Fox.
Then, I dont 'understand either why HW refuses to start a movie following a good script. Being a screenwriter myself, I know that many people write decent scripts but they're not considered movie material at the end. What a stupid trend. Let's go on with the Marvel comics and that's it.. So sad.

Yes Kyrie you mentioned the other problem in HW - they will take great scripts and butcher them or take great novels and great adaptations and give them the Hollywood treatment. I was never more appalled when I watched the Scarlet Letter. I read the novel before I saw the movie and I thought wow this will be great - we have never covered it in High school and I'd never read it before. In the novel, Reverend Dimmesdale [played by Gary Oldman and they sort of gave his character the Beowulf treatment so he looked good actually and in fact he used a very soft Scottish accent for the character LOL] essentially dies from heartbreak and shame and I thought if anyone can play that Gary Oldman can. But then they put a happy ending on the Scarlet Letter??? No wonder Gary Oldman was drunk on set. That was blasphemy. Like putting a happy ending on Gone with the Wind. Does Hollywood think the audiences are that stupid?

I was surprised to hear this. As far as I understand this is a series, right? Wouldn't that be type casting Gerry? I assume that he is interested int he role or his name wouldn't come up, but it is confusing to me, because he has always said that he doesn't like to only do certain types of roles and would rather do different genres.
