Gerry may be a silly overgrown kid sometimes but he does seem to have a big mile wide heart: www.streetinsider.com/Press+Releases/Stars+Support+Artists+for+Peace+and+Justice,+Making+Long-Term+Commitment+to+the+Future+of+Haiti/5269535.html In addition to the $5000 minimum donation, guests contributed not only dollars towards the current relief effort, but also pledged to support Haiti in the long-term. Penelope Cruz gave $50,000 per year for five years toward building schools. Javier Bardem pledged $10,000 per year over 10 years and AnnaLynne McCord matched the donation. As host Haggis shared his accounts of his past week in the disaster zone and talked about APJ's commitment to building a sustainable future for Haiti, many were moved to support Haiti well beyond the current crisis. Gerard Butler, Simon Barker and his wife, Rebecca Rigg, Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig were just a few of the attendees who each pledged to give $50,000 per year for five years toward building the future of Haiti.

hi canadia...oh listen, this link didn't show 'breakfast' but the violinist snogging? anyhoo...nice post altogether though....it is incredible the generosity of these folks toward rebuilding haiti. personally, i know one fella (buffalo farmer who looks like gerry) travels there as a missionary, the other is a gal nurse who circumvented the planet in a solo sailboat who has started an orphanage on the island. i'd like to learn more about the priest/doctor's work there. these poor, poor folks have been utterly destroyed. whoosh! but, one native rapper traveling back to usa said...inspite of the bad smells, wailing and devastation..he heard his people still singing! just LOVE that indomitable spirit of the haitians!

so happy a clean version of this photo popped up Text with it Gerard Butler and Nicole Kidman Guests like Gerard Butler and Nicole Kidman each pledged $50,000 a year for the next five years to help re-build schools in the poorest neighborhoods of the Hatian capital Port-au-Prince. "For once, I have some money in my pocket and I'm relatively well-known. I have a voice and I want to try and use it to get the word out," said Butler. "I'm also going to head over [to Haiti] with Artists for Peace and Justice to see what I can do, even if it's just hauling bricks." www.instyle.com/instyle/package/general/photos/0,,20302989_20341219_20734723,00.html
