Awe rasberries on MJ, I don't care if the man did pass away, that was a weird thing he did with that baby! Someone dies and suddenly they are a declared a saint when before that they were considered one of the weirdest people on the planet. I think its hysterical. MJ was brilliant and a musical genius but he put the W on the word weird.I'd say Gerry has a better hold on the plant than Michael had on the baby.Gerard Butler Hangs Baby Outside Window À La Michael Jackson Gerard Butler playfully imitates the famous Michael Jackson moment — the singer dangling his newborn son Blanket — at a London hotel on Wednesday (November 18). MJ, who later called the incident a “terrible mistake,” dangled his baby outside his cbalcony for fans wanting to see his new baby. This time, Gerry simply wrapped a potted plant with a towel and dangled it outside his window. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?

Exactly Dianne! And look Gerry is more careful with that plant (a cactus maybe?) then MJ was with that baby!

Has anyone heard any flack on this? My first thought was, "Gerard, WTF were you thinking?!?" Sometimes that man needs a good smack upside the head. (The one with the brain in it.)

I have to agree,Okie. I'm no MJ fan, mind you,but this morning when I saw this picture I just thought "WHAT were you thinking? ?" It just doesn't make sense to me why he would do that...Now,that said, I understand it was just G being silly and there's no need to get all up in arms as the MJ fans have been doing; I am merely wondering what the heck brought him to do this.

This is the comment I posted on JJ:
"Geez people! Chill! I thought it was funny and he had a better hold on that plant than Michael did with his baby. I agree with an earlier post that said Michael should have been charged (child endangerment); stop putting Michael on a pedestal because he did not belong there."
I can admit that at one time I was an MJ fan, but that was years before he turned completely Weird; I can understand that he had issues stemming to his childhood, but had he been anyone but Michael, he would have been told to "grow up". Of all the stunts he had pulled over the years, this was the one that made me the most angry; what the hell was MJ thinking holding his baby out the window like that? What an idiot! And then the drugs and the surgeries... I could go on, but I won't... we all know the sad tale of MJ's life.
NOTE: on the lighter side, look at Gerry's adorkable smile... what a goofball.

Apparently there were fans and paps hanging around; Gerry was having a bit of fun with that. Some are offended on Jackson’s behalf, some find it funny. It depends on where you are regarding Michael Jackson and his legacy I guess. I have the utmost respect for Jackson’s music, but I’m offended by the idolatry that surrounds Jackson since his death and the hypocrisy of those exploiting his death far more then Gerry’s lighthearted joke which I suspect is more of a joke on himself and the general silliness of paps hanging around him all the time then a comment on Jackson or his death.

I haven't read all the stuff at JJ and don't really want to. The whole MJ thing reminds me of a line from RocknRolla that was something to the effect of a rocker being worth more dead than alive. Sad but true.
Anyway, Gerry sure doesn't kowtow to PC, that's for sure. Still, I'm sure he didn't mean it as a sign of disrespect to MJ or his fans, as we all know.

I didn't jump on the MJ bandwagon when he passed.. Loved his music especially the songs on Thriller, loved most Jackson 5 hits. I felt sorry for him at being exploited at a child, but as and adult, he was a weird dude. I'm not overly convinced that the charges he was acquitted of weren't true. But that is just my humble opinion.

Well, MJ aside...I'm glad Gerry acted the goofball and did this or we may not have had a new picture today. What will happen to me when I don't have new pictures to ogle every day? My mind will have idle time and I'll start making up naughty stories with me and Gerard. Oh wait....I do that anyway.
