He's one of Hollywood's most macho stars.
And Gerard Butler fit the part as he touched down in Sydney, Australia looking rugged and ready for action.
The 44-year-old star sported a beard and wore a leather jacket as he made his way through the airport on Sunday.
But despite the hours he spent in the air, he still managed to crack a smile.
The 300 actor was cosy in a pair of grey cargo style trousers, a grey sweater, olive coloured jacket and scarf.
He had his hands full with a brown leather bag slung over his right shoulder while he clutched onto a black iPad case.
The Scottish-born hunk is Down Under to film Gods of Egypt, in which he stars as Set, the ancient Egyptian god of chaos and violence.
He will appear alongside Geoffrey Rush and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the action fantasy flick that has an estimated budget of $150 million.
He recently opened up to Australian site News.com.au about the film, which officially starts production in April.
I am going to be down there three and a half weeks before we start just so I can be in among it for all the training and the dialect sessions and the rehearsals,' he told the publication.
He added: 'It’s the largest budget movie I have ever worked on. It’s huge in every dimension. It’s huge in its scope. And it’s story. And visually. [I, Robot’s] Alex Proyas is the man. Everything about the movie feels bang on.'
Once Gods of Egypt is completed, he will have several other projects on tap to keep him busy.
The Chasing Mavericks star has also signed on for the Olympus Has Fallen sequel London Has Fallen and is in talks to star as prison inmate Kane in Kane & Lynch.
The Hollywood rumour mill also began grinding when reports surfaced that he is in talks to play Patrick Swayze's character Bodhi in the reboot of the 1991 cult favourite Point Break.
Home and Away actor Luke Bracey will star opposite Gerard as Johnny Utah, the role played by Keanu Reeves in the original.
