Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed hearing the memories and people's reactions to the whole event. Gerry was as always awesome telling us how he ended up in the Royal Box and his reaction to the game. I think we need the footage to go with his comments. Watching him was extremely fun.

Narrated by John Hurt, the programme looks back at Andy Murray's victory in The Championships 2013, and features interviews with Murray, his mother Judy, Sue Barker, Tim Henman, Gerard Butler and other fans as they relive the Wimbledon final. The judges said: "The Day We Won Wimbledon by Radio 5 live beautifully summed up the unbelievable joy, and relief, of the entire nation as Andy Murray was finally crowned champion at SW19 and this documentary had everything – in fact it made you wish you’d produced it yourself! "John Hurt’s voice boomed out, outstanding commentary from Jonathan Overend on the day led to a crafted section on Murray’s opponent or the so called ‘Bond villain’ while all the main players – even an enthusiastic Gerard Butler – brought us back to that moment in July 2013 "After the Olympics they said we’d never have a summer like it again – Murray made sure we did and 5 live produced the gold standard sports programme of the year." You can listen to the programme here. The BBC were also awarded Best Promotional Campaign for their Wimbledon campaign, which was created by BBC Global News Creative Services for BBC World Service. Live @ Wimbledon Radio, the official radio channel of The Championships, was also shortlisted at the Radio Academy Awards, in the highly competitive 'Best Coverage of a Live Event' category.
