Foundie popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2009/04/300-sequel-snyd.html '300' sequel: Zack Snyder says he's up for it...but are you?Director Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) said earlier this week that he'd be up for making a sequel to 300. Well, it wouldn't quite be a sequel. According to Snyder, Frank Miller is developing a graphic-novel followup to 300 that'll take place in between the moment Leonidas (Gerard Butler) dies and the Platea battle one year later (in which 10,000 Spartans defeat the Persians). During this time period, there's also the battle of Salamis, in which Athens' navy also fights the Persians -- jeez, those guys keep getting picked on! Snyder hasn't yet boarded the project, which has been in development for nearly a year. "If Frank comes up with a great idea and draws something cool, there's no reason why we wouldn't make another movie," he said. But what do you think, PopWatchers? Men, are you thirsty for additional bloodshed? Ladies, ready to ogle more CGI-enhanced abs? Or, after Watchmen, are we not quite as enthusiastic for what Snyder may have in store for us?

I would watch it too. Maybe they could a PREQUEL so Ger could be in it!! He said though that he wouldnt work out like he did for the first one.....it was brutal. You know if you work your body like that and youre not used to it, it makes you throw up and shit.

I think it takes place after the death of King Leo... Maybe they will show shots of Gerry that weren't used in the first movie as thinking back about him, but Gerry's character is dead... Gerry said he didn't want to revise the character. Thw workout almost killed him... He's still a man in his prime with big things ahead of him but he is approaching 40 and that type of workout and diet is stressful. It's just too much and I don't blame him.

Leonidas and his men fell at Thermopylae "τοις κείνων ρήμασι πειθόμενοι" - obeying their orders. There is no way they would have him back. However, i'm glad for the plan, as long as it will be fair to History. Greek cities have done the unspeakable - stand up against an empire...the Persian empire. Actually it was two opposite world in duel for first time : West and East, Spirit and Wealth, Democracy and Tyranny. Battle in Plataies and the naval battle at Thermopylae is the pearl on ancient Greece's crown, so to speak.....!
