Right after they told him he had to go for hair and make-up, I said,,,"Oh boy... we have a 20 question thing for you." Bless him, he grimaced and said, he just didn't have time and they would have his ass if he didn't hurry, but he offered to call me and do an over the phone interview. I saw how stressed he is and I know his schedule, so for his sake I declined... He has enough on his plate. I thought about it later and although I am not sorry I declined I am going to write him a thank you note tomorrow and ask him I can take him up on the phone interview as soon as his load is lifted a little. Actually the way he's going it seriously won't be for nine more months. It's something to look forward to though and maybe from now to then I'll teach myself to record phone conversations so everyone can hear it. Dianne, I am so happy for you and your daughter and this site! Thank you for sharing the details, it shows what a great and accommodating person Gerry is and how he will try not to let anyone down willingly even when he is so pressed for time. Alhtough we have the photos, when you have some time, you need to give us some more details about how gorgeous he looks. Usually photos don't do him justice but from yours I see that all Gearbear is back so I'd love to hear more! As for the call, maybe you can suggest that he does it as part of promoting one of his next films. Then we can upload it and share it with the world!

Thank you so much Dianne for posting all the latest. Seems like you and Callie had a blast - something neither of you will ever forget. Is that a cupcake I see on Lolita's little toy?

Yes it is cupcakes on the toy.... LOL!!! I figured with the other group being there he had gotten a gift of real cupcakes and likely didn't need any from me... I can share this without talking out of turn. I was told that Gerry had been working out everyday at an undisclosed gym in the area. He also plans to be doing quite a few more movies in Shreveport so he actually bought a house in Shreveport and is blending into the community, and the community is more then happy to accept him. And Terez, that is a good idea about the movie promoting idea.. We'll have to give it some thought... That... or during a slow time when he'd down relaxing and news is slow... We know how BORING that is and it would inject some well needed fun into this place. LOL!!! I thought someone would jump on the fact that he offered to call me and I said no...HA! Believe me I have no illusions that his relationship with me will ever be anything more then celebrity/fan. He certainly doesn't want to be my friend and I am good with that. So with that said, and Gerry being such a nice guy, I am sure that there are plenty of parasites in his life that want to do nothing but take, take, take from him. I'd rather be the fan site that genuinly supports him but knows when to BACK OFF and give him space when he needs it. You get more flies with honey, believe me.

LOL. You know the thought did occur to me 'WHAT THE? ' but then I read the reason for you not following up the offer of a phone call and I was humbled by your consideration. Something to look forward to in the future. Good news for Shreveport - nice to see someone investing in the local economy

Dianne - Thank you for sharing with us gals your lovely meeting with Gerry and I Love Love the photos of you & your daughter with Gerry and Lolita. Boy, isn't Gerry looking gorgeous. Definitely a moment to remember always. The fact that Gerry will be doing more films in Shreveport sounds like he may be partnering with Millennium Productions on his future producing projects. Such exciting news, I had been hoping Gerry would get studio backing for years now. shellie

So glad that you finally got to see him after the mix-up. I noticed an empty Starbucks cup and a soccer ball to verify that it is indeed Gerry. LOL Lolita is adorable and I love the scarf you bought her. I'm glad he likes his short hair as he'll have to have it short for the next movie also. I'm sure you'll be lounging on Cloud Nine for awhile!! Congrats!

Dianne my dear I'm so happy for you , because you and this amazing site deserve this beautiful opportunity to meet Gerry, and especially to be involved in this wonderful charity initiative Don't care about the people and their bad comments, they don't have idea about who you are and how special you are But I want to know, how do you felt to be in a trailer with him ? ? ? ;D

Impressing that he bought a house in Shreveport but then again it makes sense if he is going to be making more films there. I think I heard last year that renting a house in the area to actors, producers and film related people costs something between $10,000 to $20,000 per month. I don't know what the house prices in Shreveport are but if you are going to spend a few months a year there it makes sense. And that way you can also decorate the house the way you want it and it's the home away from home.
Gerry seems to have such a good sense about handling his money, especially when it comes to real estate.
Also, maybe Gerry and famous people in his position enjoy being in Shreveport in the sense that they are not hunted by the paps and they can blend in with the locals and live a pretty normal life.

Dianne!!!!! So cool! How did he feel when you hugged him? What did he smell like? What kind of mood was he in? Did he seem as tall as we imagine?

Dianne , thank you so much for sharing the story. I been looking forward to read about your meeting with 2 days now. I also appreciate the work you put in WOOF. When i literally had a crappy day at work ( i work as a health care worker ) , i feel better reading or seeing pictures of Gerry. I also think you guys are hysterical , including your posts Dianne. You guys ( and Gerry ) brighten my day. I don't what i would do without you. Lolita is adorable and i love dogs.If i could have meet Gerry , would have loved to hold her too. :feel luv: I love the pictures and how you showed Gerry the scrapbook. I liked it when Gerry had his hair long , but i do prefer him with short hair.
