Just last week I watched MGP and Coriolanus. I was very impressed with Gerry in both, although they were not blockbusters, he would be satisfied with his performances. Coriolanus was a first rate production. I think the distributors of MG really let Gerry down. Don't know who let the ball drop but that movie should have had a better distribution.

I have to admit that i watched 300 a couple of years ago. I thought that it was amazing , but i didn't knew who Gerard was and didn't think more then "hubba hubba , mamma likes" Then i didn't think more about him until i saw Phantom of the opera. I didn't know that Gerry played the phantom and was surprised like " holy sh** , this is the 300 guy?". The thing is that I'm more into music then movies . so that explains my ignorance and why Gerry didn't get my attention until POTO. I have seen 300 again and loved it !!! I 'm still trying to figure out how is missed this guy (Gerry)

That blog was so much fun. Thanks Dianne. It brought back a lot of 300 memories. I had just recently became a fan at that time and couldn't get enough of the G man.

A friend of mine just send me the following email: " I was at the grocery store and a lady was getting some lottery tickets out of a vending machine in the lobby. It wasn’t going well; she was hitting the side of the machine. The ~3yr. old child in her grocery cart was trying to extricate himself from the booster seat frantically. Finally she wheeled on him and yelled; “SIT DOWN!!! LEONIDAS, IF YOU GET UP ONE MORE TIME…..” and she gave the international hand signal for ‘backhand slap is coming soon’. The further hilarity of this was that the child had the usual Midwest hillbilly kid hairdo with the long rat-tail at the back of his head. Perfect." If would have been there I would have

Thanks Elenoire www.mtv.com/news/articles/1692241/gerard-butler-300-sequel.jhtmlGerard Butler 'Not Doing' The '300' Sequel ' I wish them the best,' Butler tells MTV News of returning for '300: Battle of Artemisia.' By Kara Warner (@karawarner) Email More» The last time we checked in on the latest developments with the "300" sequel, Warner Bros. ended the "is this movie ever happening?" debate by finally announcing that "300: Battle of Artemisia" will hit theaters on August 2, 2013. That leaves really only one lingering question: What about Gerard Butler? Since the actor was pretty much at the center of the original film in the role of King Leonidas, it's only right to wonder where he might fit in a sequel. Butler has always maintained that he'd be interested in a "300" follow-up — if the timing and the script were right. But unfortunately, MTV News can now confirm that Butler will not be making an appearance as Leonidas, after all. "Oh, yeah, I'm not doing it," Butler told us when we caught up with him for early scoop on his surfing drama "Chasing Mavericks" and possible involvement in "Battle for Artemisia." "They're filming [the '300' sequel] right now. I wish them the best, but it didn't [work out]. It wasn't really my thing." "Battle for Artemisia" is based on Frank Miller's graphic novel "Xerxes" and will revolve around the Persian leader's (Rodrigo Santoro) struggle to become a god, as well as his battles with Greek warlord Themistocles (Sullivan Stapleton) and Artemesia (Eva Green), all of whom are based on actual historical figures. We're partial to Green's ballsy and badass Artemesia because she took over ruling duties for her husband after his death and went on to command an entire armada. In the meantime, fill your Gerard Butler action-movie void by checking him out hanging 10 in "Chasing Mavericks," opening October 26. Check out everything we've got on " ___________________________________ Surprisingly I'm not feeling bad about this because I think it would be a mistake to revisit a character that was killed in the previous movie. I mean OB1 Kenobi did it for the Star Wars franchise but that was science fiction which gave them some creative license.
