from: www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNew...ory_286948.htmlFOR the leading man in a Guy Ritchie film, actor Gerard Butler is all style, all swagger, all wit - and slightly overweight. 'The role, One Two, takes in the best and worst of me,' he says of his character in the movie, Rocknrolla, which opens in Singapore on Thursday. 'He's flirty but also insecure. He's clever but also flummoxed. He wants to be a hero but maybe he's not that heroic.' At 39, Scottish-born Butler has played enough parts to be a recognisable face, but not quite enough to be instantly nameable. He was the dignified title character in the film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera (2004). A muscle-rippling Beowulf in the film of the same name reared up next. Most recently, he took on the mantle of King Leonidas in another brawn-overload of an epic, 300 (2006). Now, the beefiness in Butler has flabbed out into a roly-poly physique perfect for every lovable, oily bad boy. In Ritchie's much-anticipated gangster film, he plays a low-life thug with - what else? - a heart of gold

I prefer a man with some meat on him. There are too many men out there with tiny tushes, I want a man who has a nice rounded bum on him so I have something to grab onto. ;D

That's Hollywood for you....They say something about everyone....Either your too fat or they are saying you're anorexic. A little off the subject though, I have seen lately a shift toward women behing able to have a more natural figure and being considered beautiful at least here in the States. Rather than being really skinny. There is a growing trend toward younger guys liking women with curves. It used to be called chubby, now its called curves and I am glad, its about time!!!! Anyone else notice this? I think men are just starting to find out that if they want their woman to have a nice butt and bigger boobs her waist and thighs need to be thicker than a stick. And for me, I don't like a real thin man...My husband is the same height at Gerry and he lost fifty pounds about three years ago. When he first did it he is 6'2" and got down to 195...ugg... He liked it but His shoulder bones and his hip bones were sticking out...I kept telling him he needed to gain a little...He is now 210 and he's a hunk....Nope Gerry doesn't have to be any thinner....GEEZE!!!!

I guess it's high time for everyone to see "Bridget Jones Diary" - O.K....NOT a Gerard movie, yet it's every woman's movie. Bridget is chubby, clumpsy, insecure and funny yet the divine Mr Mark Darcy himself said her " I like you just the way you are". Hear this, men of the Universe !Just 8 words - to hard to memorise ? This is what every womand longs to hear every now and then....

Ahh I know what you mean. My dad got sick once and weighed 185 and he is 6'2 also. It was bad!! Now he is 205 and looks good. Amazing how men can gain only like 15-20 lbs and look FAN FREAKIN' TASTIC and we look like fat cows. The most I weighed over weight was 10 lbs but still I swear my clothes told me 30. ;D

Its sooo incorrect but I thought it clever still. I am being realistic. It was funny. But I think they are still picturing him on that beach with his gut hanging out. Even GB said it on Leno. I am the guy on the beach with the huge gut. But he is losing it now and I luv it. L, admit it that if he went a little thin, not too thin but a little that you still would be allllll in that cookie. ;D

Well no not too thin. Not like whats his face Christian Bale when he did that skinny role. (shivers) that was totally creepy. Now THAT is WAY too thin. Naw I can handle GB being like medium. Maybe a tad smaller then now but he is all male soooo even a little flab, I could still hump his leg. ;D ;D
