I'm wondering if he knows that this statement is turning some of us on instead of discouraging. It does this - at least to me..... Since i read in an interview that he has been so identified with Phantom's fears of loneliness and rejection, that he even cried talking about that in front of ALW, i knew he had had some inner issues... Acting and art is generally speaking a way to fight one's demons. I hope Gerard fights well his owns and i pray that for God's sake he'll find true - and i mean true - love, for what he is, not his fame/face/abs.... (HA! Take that Cruella !!! ;D * says one half of me to the other !)

lol...
Well its the "bad boy" persona. "Can you be the one to change him and make him pure again?"
Ha! Well that would be cool to say I knew the girl who changed him came from this board. I would be at that wedding showing it OFF....
SEE WHAT YA MISSED. lmao ;D

"If you really knew me you wouldn't like me" Like I said before I attract alcoholics and drug addicts like bees to honey. It took some therapy and tons of self help books to recognise this about myself and run screaming in the other direction. What I've read about Gerry's comments on relationships he reminds me so much on the guy I dated that got scared and backed off for no reason...He told me later that I scared him but then he couldn't elaborate on his feelings. Then I had a client a man that used to confide in me and ask relationship advise...The things both these men had in common were they were children of alcoholics who felt emotionally abandoned and in some way physically abandoned. Both were really nice guys to talk to, funny but the minute a relationship would begin to get serious they would panic and begin picking the girls they were seeing appart and really didn't know why. If someone asked them they would say that the gal they were dating was great and they had no idea why they were feeling this repulsive feelings about her. With the one guy I dated he came on strong with flowers and romance. Literally swept me off my feet...I am never overly lovey in the beginning of a dating relationship but the moment I warmed up to him is the moment he began to pull back....and he had so many secrets that he told me to keep to myself...I mean silly crap that really no one would care about...He acted like they were deep dark secrets and in reality it was nothing earth shattering or even strange. Just this deep insecurity. It was really confusing. Then when I began dating my husband he started coming to me to get his haircut and would tell me that he hoped I would give him anothet chance and he thinks about me and wonders why he felt the need to back off....The thing is if I was so inclined to quit seeing my then boyfriend now husband he would have ran away screaming again....Makes me wonder if this is the way Gerry may tick?

What's going on inside our beloved Scot's mind ? ANYTHING - and i mean it.... He may be very well afraid of commitment for fear of loss, as very well said, or he just can be a mommy's spoiled boy, or an insecure narcissus. Last but not least, he just could not be that much into women....here i said it ! I will be VERY heart broken if that is the case, and totally lose faith in maleship ( is it a word?) , yet besides the romantic fool i am, lies a cynic Cruella d' Evil . She first appeared soon after Rock Hutson was out of the closet and became more and more powerful with Richard's Chamberlain case ( the once hearthrob Ralf de Bricassart) and of that Greek actor i told you about.... Please, don't throw me rotten tomatoes or anything harder..... STILL, I pray that's not Gerard's case..... OMG! I loved Richard Chamberlain in "The Thorn Birds". Still my fave mini-seies, next to "North and South" with Patrick Swayze and James Reed (liked the latter more .

I preferred him to Pierce Brosnan when they were both in Remington Steele, too. I'd share my favourite pic from North and South, but it would reveal too much about my sick sick mind...

I used to be a fan of "North and South' about......a life ago. I, too, prefered James Reed to Patrick Swayze -well at least till i saw "Dirty Dancing". Two years ago though, i fell for another "North and South" which is totally different and way much charming. Actually it's a BBC period drama, based in a novel by Elisabeth Gaskell and starring Richard - sexy voice, hot body, piercing eyes - Armitage. It has been called "Pride a Prejudice plus with social consience". Marvellous direction and performances. I HIGHLY recommend it..... Meanwhile, enjoy a N&S video from Youtube. PS Have we been waaaaay out of topic ? What was the thread's title ? ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm3lmUJobeE
