Does anyone have any idea why People magazine seems to snub Gerry? He wasn't even in the magazine for People's sexiest and they were discussing who would be the best Mark Anthony and they didn't even list Gerry for consideration... Instead Colin Firth... Now I love Colin Firth and I think he's a fine actor but he is not a sex symbol and that is what's needed for this role... He'd make a fine Caesar. Gerry would be perfect as Mark Anthony.... I mean perfect!!!!

Hello! I've been a Gerry fan for many years now and I too am upset with People Magazine. They have never recognized Gerry with even a short feature article and yet they'll feature lessor actors or reality stars all the time! They have at least two fantastic "angles" that they could write a story about: 1.) His huge fandom - worldwide internet sites, etc.
2.) His changing looks and ability to look completely different in different photos and roles. They could show a variety of photos to prove this!
And he's never been on "The Today Show" either! Oh well - I still think he's the best ever! Cheers!!

It could be because someone asked him about their SEXIEST PEOPLE list and his comment was he's seen sexier people on the street. DISS! Maybe they haven't forgotten that one!!!

Thank you. He's making it into valuable magazines. (I think) that speaks volumes to who he really is. These high-end publications don't mess with just anyone. With that said, I want to see his BH home... the inside, thank you.

absolutely agree! NOT being in 'people' is a good thing. it has really turned into more of a rag than when it started....it is really geared toward the young tweens inspite of its lame attempts to 'write up' on latest books, albums, films etc....
and what? gerry has never been on 'the today show'? hmmmmm, there was mention of gerry about 1 - 1.5 yrs ago when this lady had lost 212 lbs. b/c of gerry's portrayl of POTO...so groovey, she lost to find.....and she fell inlove & got her very 1st kiss at age 30!! woa....

They had a picture in today's People magazine of CZJ and mentioned that she was filming a movie with Uma T and Dennis Q. No mention of Gerard!! Now THAT really is a BIG TIME snub!!! I'm sure it was because UT and DQ were in the picture with CZJ, but they STILL could have mentioned him!!  I really don't think I like this magazine any more!!   Kneum |

Uh...WHO is the title of the movie referring to??? I cannot believe People mag - they are a glorified tabloid, if you ask me...they have their favorites and it's SO obvious! I'm sure that Gerry is not going to lose any sleep about not being deemed by them as a sexy guy...he lives it and doesn't need their nod of approval!

PEOPLE's sexiest lists are completely based on their favorites and who is hot at the moment in the media. I wouldn't be surprised if publicists are paying to get their clients on the list. Gerry could care less if he's in those mags. Thankfully he's not worried about the media's view of him. He's not trying to live to please the world or fans. He's living his life to be happy. I don't ever want to see Gerry being a media whore and worrying about what's being written about him. I think Gerry is avoiding being in the big hyped up movies so he doesn't have to have that media scrutiny and attention.

By Gerry's comment, I don't think he thinks highly of People magazine either and probably doesn't care. I agree that People has become a lot like a tabloid and that saddens me because they used to be a great magazine that didn't just publish stories about celebs, but also the every day people ... I mean, that's why they had called it PEOPLE. I've boycotted it for that reason and because they also failed to see just how much more sexy Gerry is than any of the men they put in there. Gerry doesn't need People Magazine, he's so much better than that. On one final note, it was an obvious snub not to mention that Gerry was in the same movie with CZJ and DQ, he IS the main character of the movie .... |
