Agreed. I wish we would know details about some of those projects, right now there are many but they are all so vague. I would be happy with just a few that actually start happening soon....

www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=33691As if playing the filmmaking equivalent of Buckaroo, Gerard Butler is apparently cramming as many acting jobs on to his schedule as he possibly can. He’s already got a few likely gigs stewing away, but is now in talks to star in yet another film, with director Breck Eisner courting him for Manhunt. The thriller, written by Iron Man team Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, sees an FBI team scouring the North Carolina wilderness in search of one James Tollan, a domestic terrorist with a handy line in survivalist technique and no qualms about killing anyone who gets in his way. Though the FBI bods recruit a local bear hunter to reluctantly help with the search, Tollan soon gets the better of them, turning the quest into a cat-and-mouse game of survival. Deadline doesn’t make it clear whether Butler is lining up to play Tollan or the bear hunter, but either part sounds like something he could pull off. Since Eisner isn’t set to begin shooting until the end of the year, there’s time for the actor to squeeze in a couple of the other roles he’s been flirting with, including Albert Hughes' Motor City, diamond heist pic Brilliant, sci-fi thriller Afterburn and White House under siege thriller Olympus Has Fallen

www.moviehole.net/201253896escape-from-new-york-reboot-may-be-off-but-eisner-and-butler-have-something-else-plannedGerard Butler is set to star in “Manhunt”, a Breck Eisner (“Sahara”) directed actioner about a team of FBI agents sent to the North Carolina wilderness to chase the FBI’s most wanted man. Now wasn’t Butler the favourite to play Snake Plissken in Eisner’s once-planned “Escape from New York” remake? If I were a betting man, I’d say they’ve been looking to work together on something since that one – thankfully – fell apart. Deadline says the villain of “Manhunt” is “domestic terrorist and survivalist James Tollan, who has eluded arrest with the support of the local population while attacking the federal government. They enroll the help of a reluctant bear hunter to capture the killer. But once the team enters the woods, the hunters become the hunted as Tollan will stop at nothing to survive and defend his territory.” Now if I recall correctly, wasn’t “Manhunt” also the name of that John Wilkes Booth project that Harrison Ford was once attached to? Not that it matters, that one’s not happening, but still… interesting. Or not. Moving right along.

This article is a great recapitualation of all projects Gerry's been attached to recently....a long list for the "most wanted man in Hollywood" collider.com/gerard-butler-manhunt/160029/The most wanted man in Hollywood is about to join the Manhunt. Gerard Butler, who is attached to a staggering number of films at present, is reportedly in advanced negotiations to star in Manhunt, an action-thriller scripted by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (both from Children of Men). Directed by Breck Eisner (The Crazies), Manhunt follows an FBI team into the North Carolina wilderness where they track James Tollan, a domestic terrorist and ruthless survivalist who has evaded capture with the help of local townspeople; his repeated attacks on the federal government have marked him as the FBI’s most-wanted. The team enlists a reluctant local bear hunter to help capture Tollan, but finds that the terrorist will stop at nothing to defend his home turf once they enter his woods. While the report doesn’t specify the role, I’m going to assume that Butler is up for “friendly bear-hunter” and not “ruthless murderer.” Hit the jump for more, including a recap of all of Butler’s current projects. Report of Butler’s involvement with Manhunt comes via Deadline. This is the latest in a long list of projects that have been attributed to Butler over the last year. Let’s recap, shall we? •There’s Hunter Killer, the story of “an untested submarine captain who must work with a Navy SEAL team to rescue Russia’s president, who’s taken prisoner during a military coup. The two sides team to stop a rogue Russian general from igniting World War III.” Sam Worthington may possibly co-star with Antoine Fuqua to direct. •Thunder Run, a war picture centering on the 2003 capture of Baghdad and the “first ever conventional war film made to utilize this revolutionary facial and motion capture technology and state of the art CG and 3D.” Worthington and Matthew McConaughey also star. •An untitled, fact-based mercenary pic with Sir Ridley Scott directing. •The diamond heist-thriller, Brilliant, directed by Robert Luketic (21). •A surfing picture, Of Men and Mavericks, directed by Curtis Hanson (L.A. Confidential). •The romantic comedy, Playing the Field, with Jessica Biel and Dennis Quaid. •One of the “assault on the White House” movies of the year, Olympus Has Fallen. •Oh, and let’s not forget How to Train Your Dragon 2. •There’s also the “released prisoner gets revenge” flick, Motor City. •And finally, the sci-fi comic adaptation, Afterburn, in which “solar flares have left the Earth a ravaged wasteland filled with mutants and pirates” Have fun, Gerard!

Since nobody seems to bother putting the schedule up:
Thunder Run: Baton Rouge Louisiana May 1st to July 15th which is a 2,5 month shoot Since Matthew McConaughey and Sam Worthington are also in it shooting will likely be less time consuming.
May 27th Socceraid in Manchester, UK No doubt another quickie over to Europe, with his family coming to meet him like last time.
Olympus has Fallen: Bossier City and Shreveport July 2nd to August 19th which isn't even 2 months???
Motor City: Berlin, September I'm guessing September through to November
Brilliant: Boston Anywhere from November but I'm guessing it will more likely be 2013 before this gets shot. I somehow don't see them shooting during the holidays.

I would guess that time for Olympus is only the shooting time in La. This is not long enough for an action flick. I bet they also will shoot some of it in Washington DC... Maybe another two or three weeks.

Remember also that he will have OM&M to promote in Sept/Oct as far as we know. He has to have some time in between movies hopefully to promote that in a normal way...tv interviews etc.

Maybe another two or three weeks. I agree, that seems an awful short filming schedule and I think they will need to shoot some of the film in Washington, D.C. I imagine though, a lot of the filming will be done on a film stage for interiors and the special effects. Who do you think would be a good choice to play the President..depending on the time-line in the script maybe they can even cast a woman? I was wondering if this would be a good film to re-team with Jamie Foxx, I guess maybe not since LAC is still so popular. I hope they cast a major star like Philip Seymour Hoffman and wouldn't Denzel Washington be great!

Actually Louisiana till 8/19... It is going to be a hot and humid summer for Gerry. In addition to hot and humid, will Gerry have to contend with Love Bugs? Gerard Butler interview David Letterman Love Bugs www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMxnf6GTH24Gerry talks about Love Bugs at about 3:15 in this interview on David Letterman for TBH promotion, but it is even funnier if you see an earlier discussion at the beginning. First saw this two years ago and I really enjoyed the entire segment, although others thought Dave was not very nice to Gerry (in this discussion: weiner1proboardscom.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sightings&action=display&thread=1572&page=1) To me, they played off one another very well and it was Letterman's humor style which actually gave G some good openings. Also thought Gerry looked amazing and adorable--and I noticed the pants, too, Diane By the way, from what I could glean from the internet "Adult love bugs live between two and three days and swarm twice a year for four to five weeks. First in late spring, then again in late summer." Maybe G planned his schedule to get in and out of Love Bug territory before they swarmed--depending on what is meant by "late summer". Enjoy the video

Hi girls, has anybody heard about Thunder Run - on IMDB there is still note - filming, but GB in NY, MM in LA, SW in Hawai - sounds really weird? There were a lot of filming plans for Gerry at beginning of this year and now it looks like they slow down everything. Anyway he deserves some rest :-)

A rumour from IMDb...we didn't hear anything about this before... www.imdb.com/title/tt2102498/WWE superstar Chris Benoit struggles to maintain a life with his wife and young son as the pressures of wrestling spiral him out of control.
