I bet you thought I was going to discuss Gerry's bulge? But no, we needed a thread for those little facts about him that come out in miscellaneous articles that are interesting but really don't deserve their own thread. This one came out today. I didn't include the link because there is no picture.I'm addicted to Coke, says film hunk Gerard Butler Aug 30 2009 Movie hunk Gerard Butler has kicked booze and fags - but developed a serious Coca-Cola habit. The 300 star confessed yesterday that he has an addictive personality. But he said he had given up his old self-destructive ways - only to replace them with coffee and Coke. Gerard, 39, admits he was deeply unhappy in his 20s as a trainee lawyer in Edinburgh and almost went off the rails. He said: "It didn't feel right so perhaps if I'd started acting earlier, maybe I would have sorted myself out earlier. "Now it's just women and song. And coffee and Coca Cola. "I've always been a bit of an addict, so when I stopped drinking and smoking, there were times even last year when I was drinking eight to 10 cans of Coca-Cola a day." Despite his American twang, Glaswegian Gerard claimed his heart was still in Scotland.

Girls, do American's have a twang to their speech? Jeeze I wish I could hear myself just once from another countries perspective. We Yankees say that southern people speak with a twang when they talk. Anyway, like Gerry I too have an addictive personality and I over do everything.

Well how bout that! At least it is not Pepsi Now Americans did you know that in Europe they drink soda warm without ice? Chewing Ice is my addiction. Our ice maker can't keep up with me. Looking through the Scottish slang I found out that any carbonated beverage is a Ginger. Not soda or Pop or Soda Pop but Ginger. Another piece of trivia to make your day. Maybe he needs to head south and try some Sweet tea? Now that is my addiction. And of course Dianne with your gift of course we would think it was about the sweet bulge!

Well, i'm not sure if he has developed an American twang or whatever, yet Mrs Margaret has her way on taking it out of his system : I "borrowed" the follow article from IDMb: Butler's Mother Makes Him Scrub The Floor
just now
Hollywood hunk Gerard Butler credits his mother with keeping him grounded - because she refuses to treat him like a movie star.
The actor makes regular trips to his parents' home in Glasgow, Scotland, where his mother insists he helps out around the house, and carries out his share of the chores.
Butler reveals, "I go home and they'll cook Christmas dinner, and she's like, ‘C'mon, give a hand, come on, wash the dishes or put the dishes away.' "And I'm like, ‘Mum, I am a major Hollywood movie star, I can't be doing this. It's embarrassing.'"
But mum always wins: "I end up on my hands and knees, wiping up the floor." » Oh, i REALLY love his mother.....

I'm addicted in coffee - that's for sure, even if i drink only 2-3 coffees a day. I think i can't start my day if i didn't drink at least one or two sips of coffee.... Guess i'ts my Pisces ascendant - it's said that Pisces or if you have important planets at Pisces can make you easy to addictions..... No need to say that Mrs Margaret is for me the ideal mother- in- law ! (Pssst ! Her OTHER son, is married, aye ? Cause i want her as a mother- in- law for just one of her sons ! )

gerry's mom's name is margaret? (sweet)
and, what about gerry's siblings? a brother and a sister? where's gerry in the mix...is he the youngest, middle or eldest?
anyway, caffeine IS used for medicinal purposes too. it's good for migraine headaches, weight loss. they're finding out a lot about caffeine in smaller doses is rather good for you.
i'm a tea toodler (sp?) but will thoroughly ENJOY a good dose of coffee especially dining out after a solid meal, or in a cafe with music.

Yeap ! Gerard's mother is called Margaret - just like me.... - and our gorgeous boy is the younger of his siblings. I guess his brother being the eldest. They seem to have a very bounded family and Gerard has a special bond with his mother ! As Aysun, who has met the lady, confirms, Mrs Margaret is such a sweet and loving person ! Geez, i want to move to Paisley, NOW !

Aye Gerry is the baby,
Brian is the eldest Lynn is the middle
I figure that Margie is just over 60 years old but that is an estimation on my part.
My sister who would be 59 She her kids were born in '67, '68 and '70. She started really early like 17. So if G has one foot on a banana peel and one foot in his 40th year if she had him at 25 she would be 65. I'm think she is younger and that the kids are stair steps. But that is my therory no way to prove it. She looks realatively young.

From the India Media, I see Sass already posted this, thanks Sass. I always giggle at the Indian articles, you really see the cultural difference. I'm not sure this would be news in the west. I can very well see mom having him wipe up the floor and I find nothing odd about that. I must say though if he was on his hands and knees wiping up the floor, with his hot ass in the air, I would plant myself in back of him and admire the veiw.... "Oh Gerry you missed a spot!"
