Oh, and thank you both, LL and Tori for the wonderul screen caps.....! Love ALL OF THEM !!! This movie isn't one i'll see over and over ( too much Hillary Swank, too little and dead Gerard) yet, seeing these caps again and Gerry in close up, i thought of something.... Don't want to piss anyone, yet.....remember what tolerance, love and good mood Gerry has bestowed over Holly at the beginning of the movie. And then, at the Caraoke party, the close up at Gerry's face and eyes....His eyes has a hidden saddness.....What if HE KNEW....and want to make wonderful memories for Holly ? ............................................ Somebody pass the bloody tissue box, please.............. Awww... now I'm going to cry again... *takes half of the tissues out of the box and passes it to Sassenach* I own this film, but I can't watch it again, yet. Way too sad for me and I would rather watch this alone where I can cry in peace and not have my parents looking at me weirdly. Note: Wow! I just noticed I am a Gerard Butler Stalker now. Woohoo!

This film bothered me. It made me think of my own husband dying....I ended up crying after I went to bed....I probably won't watch it again...but with that being said....to effect me that way it means its a good film.

I wouldn't watch it a first time. It sounds horrible. The movie itself isn't horrible. Yet it deals with the subject of loss. It's like watching "Titanic" - you know the ship is going to sink yet you still watch the movie.... And i think it's one of the most tender and human movies about the subject of loss. Makes you smile and makes you think....

It's a beautiful and sad movie. What Gerry did for Holly when he had those letters delivered to her was so sweet and something I could see Gerard do himself.

I'm not sure he'll EVER decide to commit to a woman the way Gerry was to Holly, yet he connected to the role so much, he quit smoking...... And that alone is a great achievement for a man who has been so deeply sank in bad habbits..... Well done, Gerard!

By the term "horrible" you mean movies with sad end / dramatic ones or are you referring in quality ? Cause both movies were very perfectly made, even if "Titanic" is now consindered a "cliche'" movie....yet both were artistically very decent..... Still heart breaking both of them !

It's not horible Nel...their is enough sadness in the world without watching it....I like some sad films but P.S. struck a nerve....If I had a different life I likely would have LOVED it...

I don't have a significant other sooo PSILY was just touching. I smiled at the end and sighed thinking good for her and not really so hung up on poor Gerry. I mean it sucked but the story is really about Holly and her trails.
Plus other non scottish cutie Jeffrey Dean Morgan is in it.

I'm not sure i'm going to watch it again any time soon, too heart - wrecking. Well, when i first saw it i know what was all about, pretty well, i expected to see the husband dying and wife mourning, yet till that fatal night I HAD NO IDEA WHO THE HELL GERARD BUTLER WAS..... Now i know, i'm familiar with every glimpse of his wonderful eyes, every smile he flashes, every twist of his sweet, intoxicating mouth..... Too hard to watch Gerry Kennedy dying, NOW.....

Yeah but we don't see him die. I have watched it like 10 times. But if Nel is the type to pour her eyes out on a Halmark card then maybe......you shouldn't watch. But you will be missing out girl...so missing out.

There is that one deleted scene when he goes into the travel agents office that really made me cry because you see him in the advances of his cancer and it broke my heart. He was funny in this bit and I ended up crying and laughing all at the same time, such is the power of Gerry's acting to bring forth so many emotions from his audience.
