Brian Cox, one of Hollywood's most esteemed actors and Grand Marshall for this year's Tartan Parade is joining Scotland Unfiltered, a celebration of contemporary Scotland.
This special one-off fundraising event offers a unique take on Scotland's diverse culture and heritage at one of New York's most stylish venues, The Parlour Midtown. Kilts and cocktail attire are requested for the opening champagne reception at 7.30pm, followed by cocktails, malt whisky and beer tastings plus a preview screening of cult Scottish feature film Electric Man. There is also a special guest appearance from one of the hottest Scottish bands to emerge on the electro rock scene.
Distilling Music, Malt & Fashion in a unique take on Scotland's culture & heritage Howie Nicholsby, founder of 21st Century Kilts will unveil a bespoke Harris Tweed for Scots-based charity Developing World Health and a collection of kilts which will be modelled on the night.
Four-time Emmy award-winning personality Ross King will host a live auction to help raise funds for some of sub-Saharan Africa's most vulnerable children.
Music on the night will be brought to you by Scottish DJ James Thomas of Melange.FM and one of Edinburgh's flagship live music events, Melange Thursdays.
All proceeds from the ticket sales and live auction will go directly to the charity.
