Having never met the man, I'd have to go by what you ladies who HAVE been in his glorious presence are able to discern...in other words - LUCKY!! LOL
Seriously, I always figured that with lighting and the magic of photoshop and other programs, his eyes can appear more blue or green, depending upon how the photographer wants them to appear.
Ages ago, one fan who met him described them as a crystalline blue/green, and that has stuck with me. The color of the Caribbean Sea...how romantic, eh?
When it comes down to it, we know it doesn't matter - they are simply gorgeous and oh so unique, whatever color they may be. We just all want the opportunity (privilege?) to gaze into them and to make that all important "eye contact" with him, right?

I'm with ye on that one, vero. Hey Lepp!! Just wondering how I could become Gerry's Official Kilt Inspector... seems like an interesting job!! What do you inspect, really!?!?!? Making sure he's wearing it properly. And I always thought his eyes were more gray (with brown specks in them), I have noticed in some of his movies that they'll appear blue (Timeline) or green (Attila).

Leave some inspecting for us "wanna be's" ;-) As for the eyes, I agree... I'd just like an opportunity to lose myself in them... Plus, I want to drown in his laughter and goofiness... And melt in the midst of his smile... Besides the eyes, the smile and laugh really "do it" for me. I'd love to hear him attempt to tell a joke, only to burst into cries of laughter because the punch line has suddenly hit him - he just can't get it out... I'd totally lose it!! That's my Gerry... I hope that's the way he really is... Sorry for that outburst... Feeling a little sentimental today :-)

I've always described them as the color of the dark, harsh, Scottish seas... Deep green/gray/blue. The color of a REAL sea! And pairsonally, I'd take a stroll down the rocky beach of the Scottish coast with a certain Scotsman over lying around the Caribbean anyday! BabySeaTurtle

Almost grey (matching the shirt) OMG Jeanie! Thank you for this photo, the chest hair is sooo magnificient! Just the pick me up a gal needs! As for the eye colour debate, yes they are green but I have also heard Gerry refer to his eyes as blue green, so maybe he knows something we don't?

The chest hair in that picture makes me think of lying in bed next to him, stroking it playfully in the morning. *Swoon*

Okay, I've got to weigh in on the eye color debate. My eyes are blue-gray -- truly the color of a stormy sky. But, if I wear royal blue, they will look much brighter. They will appear lilac if I wear purple. My husband has light blue eyes. When he is *ahem* excited, they appear almost electric blue. When he isn't feeling well, they are green. My oldest son has amazing green eyes. They are mostly green with a navy ring around the iris and gold flecks surrounding the pupil. His eyes stay mostly in the green range -- ivy to olive to amber.
So, after all this, I have to conclude, that Gerry's eyes are blue with green flecks. If you look in his right eye, he has an amber line that is easy to see. His eyes easily reflect the colors surrounding him. If he's wearing gray, they are going to look more gray. If he has a bright blue shirt, they will look more that color. If he's wearing green, they'll look more green. Lighting also plays a huge part in their appearance, I bet. I'd also venture his eyes change color with his moods, similar to my husband's eyes.
Okay, enough of the diatribe...just thought I'd share since I live with a large range of light-colored eyes in my family.

Hey INOKG, I have a friend whose eyes change depending on the colors she is wearing. I think Gerrry's eyes are the same. I've notice when he wears blue, his eyes look more blue than grey. In any case, he has absolutely beautiful eyes.
