Hopefully fewer than 22 pages...

Why? Does Deb have the inside info?
I'm new, so I don't know these things.

Why? Does Deb have the inside info? I'm new, so I don't know these things. I have found Deb to be our resident expert. She's been a fan for a long time....Me I am new to Gerry actually...It was a love a first sight for me....and I had the brilliant idea to start a fan board and learn as I go. In other words I'm a dufus..

Must be satisfying to see him do so well, but I think I'd feel a bit "get off him, he's mine", too!! Not on a conscious level, but I think I'd have a niggling feeling somewhere!!

This is a message board and pure fantasy. We should not take ourselves too seriously. You know what I mean. I'd like to avoid cliques if at all possible so we can all be important in our own way.

Oh, cliques, blah! Haven't noticed any here. I just jumped in with both feet, and everyone seems very nice. I spent a lot of time on the scary soapbox/sandbox boards on IMDb, but now I'm a happier person without all that nastiness and point-scoring (although some people are nice and fun on there, it's not worth it, for me, in the end).

Yep I know what you mean IMDb is NOT a nice place to be although I will agree there are a few there that are very sweet.

I don't care for cliques, which is why I like participating in boards like this. This is such a fun environment and Gerry is just so adorable. As to whether I have written? I haven't... yet? Does anyone know if he signs autographs if you send a letter?

Nel, No inside info here... just been around for a long time but really not as long as some. If I had seen POTO in the theaters (and I am so mad that I didn't) or taken more notice back when I saw Time Line I might be considered an oldie. I got hot on the Gerry train at around July or August of '05. I saw POTO for the first time in May of '05. I don't feel in anyway posessive of him. I can understand how some are just a bit melancholy that the bigger he gets the less touchable or approachable he is. No more meet and greets after Leno. No private meeting with the girls before a premiere (that happen during the premiere of POTO in NY that Tamara organized with Gerry. He took at least 10-15 minutes with about 20 fans).
About autographs. Ok... a long time ago Gerry would answer. But now you get a signed picture and a form letter. But if you met him in person, if he has the time he would definately sign it. I am just not into autographs. I have no need to have someones signature. And I would never try to profit from Ebay. That is just me though. I was really, really into a soap opera hunk about 7years ago and met him and talked to him on the phone. But I ended up getting rid of his autograph that my girlfriend got for me. That whole thing is a very long (and funny) story.
Anyway, Gerry has done some really incredible things and had some amazing encounters with fans. Did ANYONE read any of those fan encounters I listed??? You are missing it if you haven't. I am really tempted to copy them hear but there is a saying that what happens (is posted) on .net stays on .net so I am scared.
Oh, he called one of the fans on GALS on Christmas day 2 years ago because she was so sad because her mother was dying of cancer. He also called a young man (from the Kids Kicking Cancer organization) who was dying and got him a copy of "300" there is a story behind that but I can't remember so I will have to ask someone. I just remember that it really got to Gerry.
If I could remember all the stuff I have read and heard I will try to share it.

I've asked a few actors for them, but it was mostly just an excuse to talk to them for a moment. And nor would I ever sell them on Ebay. That doesn't seem right. I have a bunch of signatures from a particular person that I could sell, but I never would. I keep them to remind myself of the meeting, really. I'm afraid I didn't read the fan encounters. I don't want to feel jealous, and I don't want any more evidence of how adorable he is. I'm trying to keep my crush down to manageable levels!!
