Hi Guys, I'm Sephonae, used to hang out a lot on the gerardbutler.net site. Life and computer problems took me away for a bit. I'm 37, live in NY and have been a GB fan since December 2000 when I went to see "Dracula 2000" for my 30th B-Day. I can still recall the moment I first saw Gerry in his glory that night...I was all "hubba hubba" and my sister and friends couldn't shut me up about it. Ah well.
If I had to pick a Gerry fave, I'd say it's a toss-up between Dear Frankie and The Jury. Oh right. 300. (A-ROOO!)
Planning on getting up early to see RocknRolla in Manhattan (and that's devotion, getting up early on a Sunday, for pity's sake). Oh yeah, want to catch the matinee so I don't have to pay NYC movie ticket prices in full. (This dang economy!)

Wellcome on boards, Sephonae! So you were succumbed to "Dracula's" allurements, right ? What about the Phantom or Gerry Kennedy ? Did they let you indifferent or you haven't seen the movies yet ? I'm sure you will enjoy Rocknrolla - i did ! Come back and post your opinion about it !

Rock-n-Rolla isn't playing in the Detroit area where I live and I am so sad!!!! I will have to wait and see it on video. I know...isn't he great in 300. I noticed him myself in the phanton although I saw him first in Attila and I though Holy Crap now isn't he hot....then the Phantom and didn't know it was the same guy. The next day I mentioned it to my Mom-in-law (she's a huge phantom the stage play fan) I asked her if she saw the movie and she said yes. I asked her what she thought of the Phantom...and she said, "ISN'T HE A HUNK? HE CAN PUT HIS SHOES UNDER MY BED ANY DAY!" So I'm married to the son of a very smart lady! I became super hooked myself after reading Outlander. Anyway, enjoy the site and post, post, post!!!!! Hugs, Dianne

Welcome sephonae! Dianne, there is a wider release for "Rocknrolla" on the 31st of this month. Hopefully, we'll both be able to see it in theaters. *crosses fingers* Although, I am working late that night, so it may not be until after nine that night that I'll be able to see it.

Thanks for the kind welcome everybody!
Sassenach: I saw Phantom and PSILY in theaters but haven't felt compelled to purchase the DVDs, though I'm certainly tempted. I thought Gerry was great in both roles. I do think, though, that he could've been coached better (vocally) in Phantom - my suspicion is they were going for that 80s scratchy-voiced-hyper-octane-testosterone sound so favored by ALW (for example, the Judas and Jesus casting in the 70s version of "Jesus Christ Superstar" and of course Michael Crawford, to whom I feel no particular loyalty. So he was the original Phantom, big deal) which, I feel, did a bit of a disservice to Gerry's natural vocal gifts. He was excellent, however, in conveying a hopeless, smoldering longing for Christine (Point of No Return - very hubba hubba!). As for PSILY...well, even though it had a happy ending, it was a bit of a downer...sort of a chore to sit through in parts, and I found Swank's character a bit tiresome. But, yeah, Gerry was fantastic--I especially enjoyed the scene where he and Swank first met and then the part in the pub where they re-connected. Very sweet and sexy.

Well hello there Sephonae! Sorry this is a late post but life caught up this week. Sooooo live in NY. Nice. I almost moved there. But alas the fates would not allow it. Are you a native or did you go for the 2 reasons Ms.Bradshaw raved about in Sex in the City. ;D I am from Houston, TEXAS! Yes and its true. Everything is bigger. I hope you enjoy the site. I love it and the girls......well you can drown them out. Just kidding they are great too. Have fun and don't worry about speaking your mind. We like that. Its like a rush. ;D ;D ;D

Hey Tori! I'm a native of the state. I work in Manhattan but commute home to the 'burbs, which is not as sexy as it sounds. And, in spite of the fact that I work in NYC, I've only seen two celebs: Richard Belzer (Law and Order - we've actually crossed paths twice, once on Broadway and once at Grand Central Terminal) and Robert Loggia (from afar). I've yet to meet the G-Man, so don't envy me. Really. ;D

He has met a few celebrities....The weirdest encounter was a guy (I think from the band Poison, they found him dead this year of an OD but my husband ran into him the year before). Anyway weirdest thing, my husband was walking into Wallgreens and he was walking out.... We live in Detroit and Poison was in town to play a concert that night. My husband stopped him shook his hand and said a few words about being a fan...he was very nice. HA! Me I see no one. Sigh, it would be cool to live in New York.....
