Good Lord, this movie still keeps me under its spell.... Well, here's a link www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASeaGxmf8hc&feature=relatedwith the "Phantom of the Opera", as sang by Mario Frangoullis, probably the most talented and good looking tenor in Greece. The guy has been trained (and performed in stage) as an actor, too. Frankly, imho, he can't hold a candle to Gerard !!! That's my -biased- opinion. What do YOU think ?

Yes, i know Tori, we are entitled to be biased after all.... :-) yet, i'm sick of people riping him in shreds about his singing performance, when i honestly find it better than most of the proff. trained singers. If it was really HIS voice and not digitally improved, then the guy was totally amazing ! His "Phantom of the Opera" song was rather cheesy, yet his "Music of the night" was sooooo very good. Mastered it to the perfection......Not to mention "Point of no return", of course.... Sheer seduction !!!

I loved Gerry's voice during "Music of the Night" and "Point of No Return", but I liked "Phantom of the Opera" because he had that rocker voice going. That was part of why Joel (Schumacher) wanted him for the part.

I have heard better but for an Actor I thought his voice was good. Ya'll know me as the realistic one and I will be the first to say if GB did something crappy but I can see where the people's views are coming from. I think out of the OG's that I have heard, yes GB is better. But out of other "opera" male singers I could think of better. (shruggs)
