I've been asked to write the text so here it is...
Mayor: Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to City Hall and the mayor’s staff room and the great location that will be a great film made here in Philadelphia and please welcome the cast and crew of Law Abiding Citizen to Philadelphia, please welcome. I’ll introduce a couple of the folks and we’ll have a couple of people talk. But of course we all know we have Jamie Foxx of Ray and Dream Girls and uh and also one of my favorites Gerard, Gerard Butler… obviously comes with his own fan club - from 300 and also PS I Love You and also producer on the movie. Actor Bruce McGill, Leslie Bib, and all around great actress that runs our film office Sharon Pinkerton, our director F, Gary Gray, Italian Job and be cool and set it off with a number of others. I want to welcome Gary back too to Philadelphia of course you know that parts of the Italian Job were filmed in Philadelphia. We’re very excited to have Gerard Butler although many of you are even more excited than I am…. And uh… Jamie Foxx for spending a few days with us right here in city hall. And…uh… I know the filming has been going well. Gary, I want to assure you there has been some productivity too at City Hall once the filming started and a whole lot of folks near windows much more than they have been before you came. Of course it’s a tremendous honor to have the gentleman who would portray me in a movie to be filmed later in my own life story to have Jamie Fox here… I’m going over some of the script lines right now and uh.. Jamie Foxx has taken America by storm. Some of you may have seen his work at the We Are One Concert and his invitation from our new President and I want to thank President Barak Obama. Philadelphia has a great history with the television and film industry, countless shows and movies have been done here over many, many years, of course Rocky and the Sixth Sense and The Happening and Transformers and of course Philadelphia, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia just to name a few. This doesn’t happen by accident. This historic city with our people, traditions, and locations are a perfect spot for major television and film productions and we’re very excited about that and always promoting Philadelphia as a place to make TV and movies. It happens also because we have a great film office in greater Philadelphia film office and again I want to recognize Sharon Pinkenton of doing this of always working, always working, SHE’S always working. We talked even late last night about the uh, about the film and some other activities. Since it’s establishment in 1992 the film office has attracted two billion dollars in economic impact to our region or film office doesn’t help right here in the city but also helps to promote the greater Philadelphia region. It’s just been a tremendous office and I want to thank Sharon again. Not only do we get a tremendous economic benefit but a huge investment that gets major productions such a Law Abiding Citizen brings to Philadelphia but also the spending that goes with it, the marketing, promotion, and visibility. And this cast a crew loves to eat and they’ve also been out to just about every restaurant in Philadelphia so you see them out and about downtown. Now look they’re on a very tight schedule and as I understand it they’re on a break at the moment so of course we couldn’t have you come to Philadelphia the birthplace of freedom, liberty, and democracy without presenting you with our official city gift which is naturally the Liberty Bell. So we take great pride in having you here and certainly want you to have you want to take away certainly a symbol of our great pride here in Philadelphia. So without Jamie and Gerard and Gary Gray, come on up I’m going to give you the Liberty Bell and there’s some opportunity of course for you to speak, it is right here… but the real one is on display for the rest of the country but umm… but if you come back we’ll make sure you have the opportunity…. I love these boxes so much…. One behave of the people of Philadelphia please accept this smaller version as a welcoming gift to our great city and thank you very, very much.
Gerry: <pretends to wipe his nose> I don’t know what to say.
Gary: Thank you mayor, Mr. Mayor, I am back, and I love it here you have made it really really easy for us too easy, easy for me to come back and I really appreciate all the help that you’ve given us to make our movie to thank my producer…<names the names he wants to thank>. Just um… we have a lot of work to do and we’ve been here for a few months and Sharon you rolled out the red carpet for us even as late as last night and we couldn’t do it without you and definitely for you for opening up the city for us and we really, really appreciate it. And we’ll be here so don’t let the major blame anything on me..its not… we’re doing our thing….
Gerry: I hate going second… Um, I just made a few notes earlier on um.. actually we could write a book about some of our experiences, we will write a book… um… on some of the experiences putting this movie together, but none however have been the fault of Philadelphia, they’ve been amazing. Thank God for you guys. It’s been a bunch of numb nuts trying to put a movie together like myself… Allen Lucus.. but we are also very talented. I got to tell you though being appreciative of historic cities coming from Scotland, this place is so beautiful and even the hotel we’re staying at looking on to City Hall and we have a really, really beautiful city and the people here are so friendly. It’s, it’s a breath of fresh air. So we are really excited to be here and I think we got it and we are going to make the most awesome movie and umm Written House Square (?) might be changed to Law Abiding Citizen Square and you guys will be like, “God that’s where they shot that scene!” or not, but lets hope it will be… and anyway, your mayor is awesome, we just met and he’s the coolest guy so. And I just want to thank my fellow film makers Gary who has just been leading this ship with such passion and commitment and all the boys, Robert, Allen, Lucus and to have Jamie on here I can’t say it to him because I don’t want him to get a big head he’s just the most awesome actor. I am getting sick of doing movies where it’s like Oscar winner Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler, Oscar Winner Angelina Jolie and Gerard Butler, Oscar Winner Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, so this is my Oscar speech! It even rings, thank you!
Jamie: What’s happening Philly, make some noise right now! First of all I’m excited to have this opportunity to work with everybody now. F Gary Grey we go back a while now figuring out something to do and Gerard thank you for allowing me to do our thing and do something very artistic in this city and try to make a great movie. I got to hand the city of Philadelphia, you’ve opened up your arms to us and its been great. I want to thank your great mayor, give it up for your major. And Mayor, by the looks of things if you keep doing what you’re doing you never know you may be up here and then I will have to do and impersonation of you…. <he does impersonation> So I’m ready to play you brother, go all the way to the top. We are living in a very, very special time and I don’t know if you got the chance to see the inauguration and what happened to this whole country see Barak Obama be our President now. I’m just happy to be in your city celebrating that and for all who didn’t get a chance to make it there I have too show you some footage that I have that shows what’s going on behind the scenes. I’m happy to be here. I’m going to have a great time. If you happen to see me out in Philly doing my thing, come and party with me. I was at a couple of the clubs and all of that. I was doing some research of some of the things in the club. I am happy to be here and make sure, if I could take this opportunity to say, my album is number six in the country…Is it HOT, is it Hot… it’s crazy! <mumbles> it’s $9.99 go pick it up!
Mayor: Hi, I’m not Jamie Fox… Yes take it….

They do it too Dianne, but we say more Öhhhhhh or öhmmm than ummmm I say more öhm and umm I think what it is is that know one likes that uncomfortable silence you get when looking for the right word to say. I noticed that Gerry especially hates a lull in the conversation it makes him very uncomfortable. I noticed this on his last Jay Leno interview... He would answer the question and when he was done he would quickly grab his cup and take a drink of water and it seemed almost awkward like he was thinking..."Ask me another question...hurry..."

Exactly, he really tries to give a good interview.. He also leans forward when someone is asking him a question like he really is interested in giving a thorough answer. I just love him.

great video. everybody shines. even though GB was casual he STILL looked good! he had some very sweet & generous words for the city. our english language when written as spoken is awkward there's so much more to communication, right. Philly - what a town. i wonder if they'll catch the friday night 'street races' down by the river? fast & furious-no kidding. china town's great too (i literally missed a bomb) oh yeah - it's the year of the ox & GB's a rooster - perhaps he's gonna git that well deserved nomination!

Gerry's a rooster, really... well COCK suits just fine! MAIN Chinese New Year Chinese Zodiac Year of the Rooster Years 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, 2029 Rooster personality traits Loyal and trustworthy, people born in the Year of the Rooster are sociable, very accomplished and usually very well-dressed. Shrewd and daring, they are outspoken and even boastful by nature. Most annoyingly - Roosters always think they are right ... and very often they are! Sharp and analytical, Roosters are generally deep thinkers and it is a rare occasion when something gets by them. Though abundantly practical, Roosters are also big dreamers. They are courageous by nature and know how to get what they want. If thwarted in attaining a big ambition they can become moody and downcast. However, they usually recover from a loss quickly. Roosters are rarely still for any length of time and must always be busy doing something. Shy and conservative at heart, Roosters are can be overly concerned with their appearance and often buy the most stylish of clothes. They love to entertain, and a party hosted by them is almost sure to be the most memorable and extravagant of any. Roosters are noted for doing anything in their power to keep friends and loved ones happy, and are disappointed if they fail. For their sincere and straighforward care and concern, Roosters are usually much loved and respected by all who know them. Successful in any field they may choose, Roosters usually do well as publicists, entertainers or restauranteurs. Roosters are most compatabile with : Ox, Snake, Dragon www.chiff.com/home_life/holiday/chinese-zodiac.htmI'm a Tiger.....GROWL!
