filmwatch.com/news/1620914/exclusive-islamic-terror-scenes-filming-now-for-london-has-fallen-2015Exclusive: Islamic Terror Scenes Filming Now For London Has Fallen (2015) A source of ours in the Bulgarian movie industry gives us some tips now and again and today checked in to update us on the shooting of this movie. Filming is taking place right now in Bulgaria, for a limited time. Arabic scenes will be shot in Sofia from the 13th (today) until the 21st. So eight days of filming is all you should expect of Bulgarian locations for the movie. The only English speaking actor on set for the movie at this time is Patrick Kennedy. Our source speculates that the villains are Iranian terrorists. So is Mike Banning moving from North Koreans to Iranians? Anyway, the chief terrorist has had members of his family killed in a drone strike, then seeks revenge at the funeral of the British Prime Minister, where multiple high level western targets will be in attendance, including the POTUS. The sets in Bulgaria are also described to ManlyMovie as absolutely huge. (Cinema, London Has Fallen) (Fifi edited to add the last bit of the article here) I’m going to add my own speculation here and predict that the villains will be Malaysian terrorists. Basically working off the notion that Sultan Mansur is a famous name who originated there in Islamic lore, plus there are no drone strikes happening in Iran, nor have there been. That, or a fictional Islamic country. At any rate, our source will keep us updated, possibly more information next week. So stay tuned.

London Has Fallen's IMDb page did an up-date on December 16th and I noticed that they have a full cast listing now: www.imdb.com/title/tt3300542/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast Gerard Butler ... Mike Banning Morgan Freeman ... Speaker Trumbull Aaron Eckhart ... Benjamin Asher Angela Bassett ... Lynn Jacobs Charlotte Riley Jackie Earle Haley ... Deputy Chief Mason Melissa Leo ... Secretary of Defense Ruth McMillan Radha Mitchell ... Leah Robert Forster ... General Edward Clegg Colin Salmon Shivani Ghai ... Amal Mehdi Dehbi ... Sultan Mansoor Sean O'Bryan ... NSA Deputy Director Ray Monroe Alon Aboutboul ... Barkawi Jorge Leon Martinez ... Secret Service Julia Montgomery Brown ... Colette Bowman Waleed Zuaiter ... Kamran Nancy Baldwin ... Chancellor Bruckner Mihail Bilalov ... President Sokolov (as Michal Bilalov) Anthony Milton ... White House Senator Philip Delancy ... Jacques Mainard, French President Ricky Rajpal ... Journalist Sonia Mason ... Journalist Jean Baptiste Fillon ... Aide Owen Davis ... JOSC Officer Krasen Belev ... Journalist (uncredited) You will note the MI-5 agent is not listed - I am betting that Charlotte Riley maybe playing that role. Gerry is definitely going to have a quick transition from a astronaut to a tough Secret Service agent - he will need to hit the Gym ASAP LOL

I was checking the cast again for LHF and just realized I missed who the cast member Colin Salmon was - as his IMDb page notes he is one of Britain's most renowned actors. With a bold voice and posture, Colin makes his characters a favorite among audiences for every role he plays. -http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0758760/ he would be a great choice for the MI-6 agent.
I wonder if my guess of a woman MI-6 agent will be wrong and Colin will be the agent.

awesome news and smartly done!!!!!!!!!!!!
whats the story? is it based on national terrorism or some cataclysmic asteroid??? yeow....either way, this movie, I'm actually so grateful it was a box office hit as well, it struck a '91101' chord here in America, and we probably needed to see positive results (downing the bad guys).....I wonder if since its 'London' falling, will there be any james bondsian overtures? hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I am starting to feel the same way, that Gerry looks younger without his beard/scruff. Good to see Mike Banning is back, I think this is Gerry's first sequel role so this is a big event!

www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/414989-first-set-pics-from-london-has-fallen#/slide/1If we know our cheeseball action movies, then we can be fairly certain that Millennium Films and Focus Features’ London Has Fallen will have at least three things: Big Ben exploding, a trailer set to “London Bridge is Falling Down” and lots of gunfights. The latter has been confirmed by pictures of the stunt team hard at work on the UK set, which you can check out in the gallery below! The sequel to 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen again stars Gerard Butler as Secret Service agent Mike Banning, alongside Aaron Eckhart as the President of the United States. Also returning are Morgan Freeman as Vice President Trumbull, Angela Bassett as Secret Service Director Lynne Jacobs, and Melissa Leo as Defense Secretary Ruth McMillan. Babak Najafi (Snabba Cash II) directs the thriller from a screenplay by Creighton Rothenberger & Katrin Benedikt (Olympus Has Fallen), Christian Gudegast and Chad St. John. The story begins in London, where the British Prime Minister has passed away under mysterious circumstances. His funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the western world. However, what starts out as the most protected event on Earth turns into a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate every known landmark in the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. Only three people have any hope of stopping it: the President of the United States, his formidable Secret Service head (Butler), and an English MI-6 agent who rightly trusts no one. Reprising their roles in support are Robert Forster as General Edward Clegg, Sean O’Bryan as NSA Deputy Director Ray Monroe, and Radha Mitchell as Leah Banning. Joining the returning cast members are Jackie Earle Haley, Alon Aboutboul, Charlotte Riley, and Waleed Zuaiter. London Has Fallen is being produced by Gerard Butler, Alan Siegel, John Thompson, Les Weldon, and Mark Gill. The executive producers are Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Peter Schlessel, Matt O’Toole, Boaz Davidson, Heidi Jo Markel, Christine Crow, Zygi Kamasa and Guy Avshalom. Lonnie Ramati is co-executive producer. Peter Heslop is co-producer. Najafi’s creative team includes production designer Joel Collins, costume designer Stephanie Collie, and cinematographer Ed Wild. Casting is by Elaine Grainger. Focus Features will release London Has Fallen theatrically nationwide on October 2.
