THIS would be too perfect! ....i've thought for quite awhile now gerry would consider the theatre as a happy means to recoup/revitalize/get down on it.......SO happy to hear he's checking out theatre. i wonder how the reading went? oh my. there are over 220 theatres in new york city..... www.newyorkcitytheatre.com/index_off_broadway.phpsome venues ~ huge halls while others are small, intimate works in progress alternatives... either way, any way, shape or form...THIS has gotta happen and i've GOTTA see the man on stage..... and hey Craven~ girlie.... definately give me a holler if you come to new york. it'll be FUN! Dawne You bet I am sooooooooo excited about this. Love NYC, my son has to go every time he comes from TX even if it has nothing to do with work. Here is the other exciting thing for me Eric Schwartz (Gerry will portray him in Thunder Run) is an instructor at the US Army War College in Carlisle PA which is less then a 1/2 hour from where I live. hey craven ~ this would be ultimately fantastic, should this happen. lets keep our fingers crossed on this one. by the way - TR production coincides with the may-june play? where'd we get that......just curious.....

Not to be negative but I am starting to think this project is not going to happen. I really think there would have been an announcement by now if he was. I also think with OHF coming out 3/22 the PR could be end up being in conflict. I hope I am wrong but no buzz is not good news. Maybe Thunder Run will get into production soon.

The cast is still not announced, but in case we hear Gerry is involved here is the theater site... www.mcctheater.org/currentseason.htmlMay 16–Jun 23, 2013 World Premiere Reasons to Be Happy written and directed by Neil LaBute Reasons to Be Happy begins three years after a contentious break-up, with Steph and Greg wondering if they can make a fresh go of it. Trouble is, she’s married to someone else and he’s just embarked on a relationship with Steph’s best friend, Carly, a single mom whose jealous ex-husband, Kent, has trouble articulating his feelings – navigating the rocky landscape of conflicting agendas and exploding emotions isn’t going to be easy for any of them. Reasons to Be Happy is a funny, surprising, and poignant new play about the choices and sacrifices we are willing to make in the pursuit of that often elusive ideal: happiness. Reasons to Be Happy is a companion piece to LaBute’s critically-acclaimed award-winning play, Reasons to Be Pretty, first produced at MCC Theater in 2008 before moving to Broadway where it was nominated for three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Play.
