The thing about Gerry is that his Scottish accent always seems to leak out in his films no matter what accent he's going for. I think the same will be true for this film. I think what he's trying for is to make his accent sound like he doesn't have an accent, if that makes any sense. There are some people that, when they speak, you are unable to tell where they are from because they have no defining accent whatsoever. All I know is that he looks unbelievably HAWT in this film and I can't wait to see it.

I love his Scottish accent so I don't mind, but when doing another accent I would say that he should invest in a voice coach before he wings an accent.
When he says, "Who is this ravishing creature you could tell he was trying really hard to keep the burr from coming out. The rest I thought sounded natural though." Love him anyway.

I like his Scottish accent more so then his American one. Its like he's trying too hard to keep it and then from time to time you can hear the brogue come out. Look at Christian Bale. When he did interviews for Batman he talked with his American accent and it sounded fine.

Maybe it has something to do with the area in Scotland where they're from. Kevin McKidd is also scottish, but I think is accent is lighter (if I'm saying correctly )

Even Robert Pattinson of Twilight His American accent is soooooo good. You forget he's even English!

Yeah, Rob did a great job with the accent. My niece is still upset that he played Edward; she said he wasn't beautiful to play Edward. I told her maybe he wasn't her idea of beautiful, but he was Bella's. She wanted Zac Efron to play Edward.
