Ya know This Huffington Post appearance is a little out there. That Rag is so entirely left leaning I wouldn't use it to line my bird cage. It is virtually the Enquirer of the Political scene. Gerry sticking his nose into American Politics is likely to turn me off. He isn't an american citizen so he can't vote or run for any office. Why take the chance of offending some of his fans by attending this function? If he has the connections to get him a VIP seat at the inauguatiion itself then go it was an American Historical Event. I know that in Hollywood you have to be a Political Left Lunging Looney or you are blackballed and get no work. Why dosen't he just enjoy where he sits as an outsider and keep his Scottish nose out of AMERICAN politics alltogether. I sure would hate to see him go the way of George Looney Oh I mean Clooney. There were plenty of Balls to choose from...Why The Huffington Post? I honestly don't think this is a matter of politics I have never heard him discuss any political views even about his own country. This is a huge event and he's there to be seen. A lot of the Hollywood powerhouses are left wing and he knows it. I don't see this as a political nod in either direction I see it as a way to get in the news once again. Is all in who you know and where you are. I would have loved to have been there and seen Obama sworn in; what a great historical moment to be a part of. All the stars there probably thought the same thing.

Sooo nice pics...Oh I love this man! @joy: Your opinion is really unworthy and unfair. All over the world the people watched the inaguration of Obama and has hope again, that things will be better soon and the same in Washington I suppose. So every Non-American-celeb over there at the event want to stick their outsider nose into american politics? Just realx and be proud and happy, that EVERYONE all over the world is happy about yesterday. Me too Dianne, me too! I´ve been already experienced for four times, so I HAVE bithing hips I couldn't speak for the past 200 years (so don't hold me as things stand in present time cause I don't know) but I do know for a long time during history Scots were treated very unfairly so maybe in that spirit Gerry can relate. But as far as him taking a strong political stand by attending I am not seeing that. I think it was a cool and worth while event to attend.

I agree! I wish we have more such an historical event in the future.

I think ya'll may have missunderstood my previous message. I have no problem with him attending the inauguaration. He's got the connections have at it. It was truely a historical event. The problem I have is with the Huffinton Post and by his pressence at that ball he was legitimizing them. That is a very political Rag that will print anything without checking their facts. Perhaps it was the only invite he got or perhaps he is totally ignorant of this publication. As far as being out in the public eye...he has nearly every day this month take a rest before ya kill yourself. He should have skipped THAT ball. If the Bonny Lad had called and asked me to attent that ball...as much as I love Gerry and would love to dance a Waltz or Rumba (the dance of love)...I think I would have been washing my hair that night.

Joy....maybe he just got on this ball because he was told to for the promotion. get that. And they print anyway what they want - always without knowing the facts, thats the bizz, thats how it is since Ger got attention no matter what he says the write it other. Sadly but true. And I dont think that he´s ignorant about that, he know what he does or have done. AND dont forget about that: Gerry is his own human, he´ll maybe do or done things that some of us fans are not supporting or have the same thought about it. For me ur posts were just offending and unfair. that are my two cents about that issue

He looks so cuddly ! How cold was it there? I could warm him up! it was about 12 F (about -11C according to my handy conversion site) that day with some snow on the ground. I don't know if DC had as much snow as we did though, we're just a bit further north.

it's getting a bit warmer here too but Tuesday was horrible. I had to go out for a little to pick up my financial aid check and I'm glad that's all I had to do. I don't know how all those people did it standing outside for that long in that cold. I wouldn't do that for anyone or anything lol. I prefer to be cozy and warm.

The mother hen in me would tell him...Gerry you have been running yourself ragged and its going to catch up with you the extreme temps between California and DC is bound to make you sick... But incase you get sick, I make some great chicken soup and I would nurse you back to health.... Can anyone say sponge bath?

I bring the syringe filled with a cold cure for him.... I have this overwhelming urge to tell him to drop his pants.

I bring the syringe filled with a cold cure for him.... I have this overwhelming urge to tell him to drop his pants. Well if he buys that, while his pants are down I will tell him my spit has been known to cure the common cold. I'll suck on a Halls cough drop at the same time to make seem more therapeutic. Oh gosh, I am bad!
