Great detective work, exciting to see this project is moving ahead and in capable hands, I think Adrian Brody will be great in this film. Hopefully next year it will get some love at Cannes

Happy to finally hear some news on this project. I guess they will release it during the awards season next fall. Hope it is a winner for Gerry's production company and the great cast!

I'm looking forward to this one so much. They got such a great cast to do the story justice. I'm curious to see if Gerry will be making any appearances as producer or giving any interviews. Just a bit worried about any possible political negativity these days.

I'm hopeful that this will show the powers of be in Hollywood that Gerry is not only serious in his acting but gifted in his direction as well. Very happy to be a fan of a multi skilled man.

I've often wondered what a producer does - this was helpful entertainment.howstuffworks.com/movie-producer2.htmResponsibilities of a Movie ProducerA movie producer is the person responsible for making sure an appealing, high-quality movie is produced on time and within budget. That means supervising and packaging the project from conception to distribution to theaters, while interfacing with the studio and managing the work of hundreds of individuals [source: Full Sail]. As you can see, movie producers do indeed have to wear many hats during movie production. Starting at the beginning of the process, here are some of the main producer responsibilities: Preproduction Find material from a book or script. Get the script into good enough shape to attract a director (and studio, if this is not a studio-initiated production). Secure financing for the film, if it is not being made for a studio. Choose the director and other parts of the creative team. Cast the actors, working with the director. Determine locations and budget. Decide on cinematographer and special effects. Hire a production team including crew and producers. Develop a shooting schedule. Create a detailed plan of action for production. Production Offer creative suggestions to the director. Handle problems with actors or creative staff. Monitor production timetable and budget. Review video dailies, the film shot each day. Postproduction Discuss order and selection of scenes with the director. Review the fine cut of the film after it is edited. In some cases, polish, revise and restructure the film to create the final cut. Work with a distributor to secure distribution for the film. This may include showing the distributors the final cut of the film. Review the distributor's advertising campaign for the film. Thanks, Fifi. "Offer creative suggestions to the director." I'll bet this is the part he loves. Probably not much on this film, if any. But one that is close to his heart, in spades.
The great thing is that they have a company, a team and experts to deal with much of it. Even so, he's probably on top of things as much as possible, all else permitting.
I loved some of the interviews for OHF describing how he (they) made that film come together.

Thanks, Shellie--I looked for their names, but couldn't make them out. Sure hope they get an official release date soon. Hope politics doesn't rear its ugly head, though I fear this is going to be happening more and more

Hope politics doesn't rear its ugly head, though I fear this is going to be happening more and more I worry to about the politics of this movie, London Has Fallen and even Hunter Killer - all of the movies deal with present day Geo-political subjects. Hoping they all are able to hit the right tone.
