I belive that stars should have more privacy than they have. I fill they should be able to go placeses with out people stuck up thir butts. I mean I would hate it if every move that I made was being watched,it would actually feek me out. DOES antbody really want somebody knowing who thier sleeping with,or thier habits. I wouldnt,it just nuts. I belive they should be aloud to have a nomal life. nobody wants to be on the clock 24-7. And if u see them walking dont chase them thats crazy.get one of those big lens were u can be at a great disstance. But if its a moment with someone give them respect pepps come on. Know wonder Stars get to were they hate beeing themselfs and get depressed more than normal people. They cant make a move without it beening seen. Just a thought of mine. Wouldnt want to trade my life for thiers for all the money they make its just not worth it. And I belive that when u interview one dont ask about there sexually parterner. Our poor Gerry is asked that a lot, cant he have privacy. I get tired of them hounding him on that, he;shagging this one or that one I B GO TO H----. This just me ranhting I get a little crazy sometimes . Hope its ok. ttfnlta.

Sweetie I feel the same way. The paps can be jerks sometimes. hey gertie, and ! listen, i hear you plain and simple. perhaps many of us especially on this board feel the same way, honestly. on one hand it's 'fun' to oogle over a cup of coffee...sort of like when the girls get together in the office to chat about the cutie-pie in the next office. personally, i've actually paid attention to gerry and his life over the last three years and i still get 'nudgey' about his lack of privacy and REALLY do not want to encourage that blood sucking empty vortex...no, wait...that 'bog of eternal stench BLACK HOLE' suspended around those incessant shutter bugs...how can these people (acters) really deal with that rapid fire clicking and those zapping flash bulbs would reel anyone into a toni-clonic seizure! for Gods sake....pfst!! personally, i like my privacy...i relish it. roll around and wallow in it. ((oink)) LOL.... this is why 'i' am not 'infront' of the camera.....but prefer behind the scenes....there are those, not unlike gerry...who can rise above this fray and can focus on the 'higher calling of the trade', have lots of fun and become 'free' to a certain extent. there is a responsibility attached. and there is also a weighty price...namely, 'gone public'...i suspect though, seeing how 'fickle' the industry is (here today - gone tomorrow. just saw a doc on comedian bill hicks)... the intensity wanes and adjustments are made. i am hopeful gerry hangs in there. many have done so before him and have maintained their integrity to their artform.

Paps definitely go too far. I think when they go after the families of celebs, that's just wrong. Like they haunted Michael Jackson's kids and now Whitney's daughter. It's so sad, just leave her alone!
However when the paps catch celebs at LA or NYC known hot spots I don't think it's a big deal. The celebs know there will be paps there and celebs need them to a degree. It's a bad sign for a celeb if the paps don't care for her or him. But often the paps overstep the line when in comes to invade a celebs privacy.

i am a little opponent on this matter.i think its possible to be successful without having the worlds attention on you and the paps in your hair every day for a big Hollywood actor! clive owen for example lives quiet privately and can be compared to gerry id say certainly not exactly but somehow...you know? i think its just gerrys way with everything... he is this entertaining guy that seems to infrequently hide or guard his private self... he pretty much shows it naturally and authentic or at least it really convincingly seems that way ! hes the kind with his heart on his tongue and that's why hes so damn likable to me! it seems as if hes not taking all of (t)his publicity work to serious and i think its a profound way to handle all the showbiz insanity - take it light! but i think the down side is when you are or at least seem so open about yourself you easily attract the lurking greedy pack...i think that's his catch 22. hes a pleaser too! so id say even if he tried it would be really really hard for him to seclude! also besides the - to put it light - overeager press i think he kinda enjoys the fame. i don't think he'd be famous if he wasn't enjoying it... not in a way ha ha look i am famous look at me i am so awesome (which he is )but it has its pleasures privileges. well id rather let him explain what i mean : `He added to Red Bulletin: "Let's say I'm not at all sure if I am Hollywood's hottest British actor, but - and this is the lawyer in me talking - for the sake of argument, let's just suppose for one moment that it is the case and if so I'd say, it feels pretty bloody wonderful." i think you always have a choice and i think he knows that its possible to get rid of the paps but i think his priorities lie elsewhere believe me i am the last one to defend these weirdos...i am just saying in my point of view its a choice everyone given these extraordinary chance can make.its a price you pay id say... but sure i am also kinda schizophrenic about it!!!! when i see private pics of him its like : if id be with him now id jell and beat and show the tiger in me leave him alone poor gerry but the same second i freak out about the new pic seeing him all natural and normal in his all day live!its a tough one! i totally get your anger but think its not all that black and white....

I agree. For example, a very little example, when my 11-year-old (silly) brother has nothing to do, then he takes his camera and starts running up and down our house just to take some photos of me, my Dad, my Mum or even my doggie!!! And even THIS, is pretty annoying. Imagine being somebody famous like Gerry, who has all this photograph-paparazzi thing all day long? I admire him for not getting crazy with this...LoL...

I agree , i think that papparatzi is the worst kind of people. I am one of those people that think that princess Diana would still be alive if they had't chased her. They even took pictures of her when she was dieing !!! Granted if it's true that the driver had been drinking, it still does't change the fact that paparazzi was one of causes. I don't blame anybody for slapping or punching them. It's just not the pa pp that the problem either. I saw on video on youtube where not only the papp was stalking Gerry , but other fans to. As much as i love Gerry and would love to talk to him , i don't think that i would dare approach while he's buying coffee or eating dinner with his friends. I just would have been very satisfied to see him in person or even say hello in passing. I know that he's very kind and gracious to his fans , but i would respect his personal privacy. I know it goes without saying, but there are also lots of fan that doest seem to understand this . Will Smith once said in interview that it sometimes can be frustrating , because some people take dirty paper from trash or ground and ask him to sign it while he's eating dinner with his friends or family. In Eminem song " the way i am" one of the lyrics tell how people actually stands right out side the cubicle in restroom waiting for him to sign autographs. I can imagine it puts a strain on celebrities relationship and family life.

Amen Norwigi. G has been followed into BR & finds it so horrible - he stayed hidden til he felt the person left. I know a celebrity who found one in his trailer & she got her hands on him....poor guy....

I agree , with the great lenses that cameras have , you would think that paparazzi would could take a good picture several ft away. Not that i approve of them invading people's personal space and privacy. They can at least do it from the distance. Saw i clips of Gerry when i was in Norway 2009 when he was promoting LAC. ( could kick myself for not being a fan then)Us Norwegians er quiet and reserved when it comes to strangers or people we don't know very well. When Gerry asked what he tough of the crowd , he thought that the fans were quiet and respectful. He seem to appreciate that.He seem a bit surprised and he actually had to tell the crowd to yell and scream. He also seemed to think that there were lots of pretty girls as well.

I cant't imagine being famous. How do they keep their eyes open with the "flashes going"? I would have a seisure! To some extent it comes with the job but the paps go to far. I relly don't need a upto the minute photo of Mr. Butler (secretly it always nice)..I think he handles it better than alot of Celeb's do.

I think Gerry has the patience of an saint. I'm very shy and timid person , but i think even i would pull a "Britney" at some point. Maybe using a pepper spray or a fog horn. On second thought , maybe not. The papp would have sued my ass of.
