Awe look at Gerry's knee. He has a couple little scars. I wonder if these are scrapes he may have gotten when he was a kid? Whenever he got them they are old scars, (because of the color of them).  You know, from what we know about Gerry he is ADD and slightly obsessive compulsive. I bet they are scrapes that he got when he was a kid that he refused to leave alone. I can hear his mum now, "Gerard, quit picking at those! They are never going to heal!"   Or...maybe our European brethren can answer this. When I was a kid baseball shoes had metal cleats, and kids would get puncture wounds like that on Gerry's leg from another kid spiking them with their baseball cleats. Now cleats are no longer metal but rubber. The metal ones have been outlawed in most leagues. We know Gerry played soccer when he was a boy. Were Metal cleats used in soccer shoes when Gerry was a kid? Could those scars be from him getting kicked (spiked) by another kid's shoes? Baseball shoes with metal cleats... Imagine someone sliding into home and putting these into you shin or knee....OUCH!  Or maybe they're old battle wounds from his battle with Xerxes.  |

To answer your question. Cleats are referred to as studs here and yes they are made of metal although I think it depends on make and price range of the football boot.
Am I alone at wondering if those scars are from some former knee op.

Gerry explained the scab on his knee on Leno in 2005. He was playing in a soccer league in LA at that time and he fell or got knocked down.

He's so beautiful... from the hair porn to the muscular legs... sigh... He looks very young in this pic... That luscious hair really is flattering on him, I hope he keeps it long even after the shoot for PTF is over. I just wish they would leave his hair more curly and wind blown for the movie and not straightening and smoothing it down.... But once he's running around chasing the ball it'll probably turn to those tousled curls again anyway  His hair is so grabable right now...sigh...  |
