Okay we had a twitter that mentioned Gerry at Starbucks today. Quel surprise. Twitter: "@taylorgilmour I hear Gerard Butler is in town and was at Starbucks yesterday.... let me know if you get lucky about 1 hour ago via web in reply to TaylorGilmour" twitter.com/Nicki_EscottDennis Quaid has his new film Soul Surfer premiering in LA tonight and he's busy on the promo circuit. Soul Surfer is also being screened at the Dallas Film Festival, Quaid is expected to attend, wonder if his co-star might just catch the flick, esp since he's doing a surfing movie himself later this year, and Dallas is a short plane trip from Shreveport but that all depends on whether filming will have commenced Uma Thurman is apparently still overseas, she was in Paris for a few days holidays with her man and their collective kids, and a report she is in London UK today, plus she may have more promo for her new film Ceremony, maybe a London premiere? and no one had really seen Ms. Biel since the weekend as far as I can tell. Sounds like and looks like from the Facebook photos taken with G recently www.facebook.com/pages/Gerard-Butler-GALS/497540515541that only Gerard is rattling around Shreveport this week

Hope Gerry attended. That would have been cool. Plus could get some legit photos rather than hounds sniffing him out like prey sending them in by FB or Twitter. Eek! Poor man... no peace. Can he manage like this forever? Or does he even want, the feathers back in the pillow case? What price fame?

We use the social network and will continue to do so. Blame the people who put the stuff on the web. We aren't paying them. They are not getting any kudos from us for posting on facebook or twitter. I doubt they even know that their tweets are going to end up on our web site, any web site. They are public property and out there for whoever wants to use them.

Yet isn't it ironic that Lily Allen takes to her twitter to vent her anger at her friend. But "friends" have been leaking secrets about "friends" since humans could talk.

I'm sure he's accepted it. it's the new now. And now is all that matters. Think Gerry could stay off radar, and has for weeks on end never getting sighted, when he wants. Also think he enjoys a fair amount of it. Once he's not recognized it'll be a why doesn't everyone still want to hug and me? LOL Don't think he made it to the event. That's one movie I plan to skip. And since he's going to be doing a surfing movie, he might as well. And now with all the nuclear toxic crap in the water? Heck I'd find another project because I wouldn't want to get (or him either). shouldntbehere

I bet he spent many days, weeks, months, walking the streets of LA hoping someone would recognize him. He is also among the top five approachable celebs in Hollywood. So bless him he embraces his celebrity status. That reminds me of the old song..... HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD Hooray for Hollywood That screwy, ballyhooey Hollywood! Where any office boy Or young mechanic can be a panic With just a good-looking pan (pan=face) And any barmaid Can be a star maid If she dances with or without a fan (reference: Sally Rand*) Hooray for Hollywood! Where you're terrific if you're even good! Where anyone at all from Shirley Temple (child actress) to Aimee Semple (Aimee Semple McPherson - evangelist) is equally understood Come on and try your luck You could be Donald Duck Hooray for Hollywood! Hooray for Hollywood! That phony, super Coney, Hollywood They come from Chilicothes and Padukahs with their bazookas (it could refer to so many things!) To see their names up in lights All armed with photos From local rotos With their hair in curlers and legs in tights Hooray for Hollywood! You may be homely in your neighborhood. Still, if you think that you can be an actor See Mister Factor (Max Factor - makeup artist) He'd make a monkey look good! Within a half an hour You'll look like Tyrone Power (hunky action star) Hooray for Hollywood! Questions have come up in the past about the amount of tweets and facebook entries we post about Gerry and I always add this. We are here to promote Gerry. We love him here. This is a very pro-Gerry board. There are also critical tweets and facebook entries that are not so flattering and they do not find their way on our board. Also tweets about him popping in a Starbucks at 9:00AM in whatever city he is in are fun and it gives the fan a chance to get a little look-see into his life. Now one joker entered on his facebook that he stood next to Gerry at a urinal and the dipshit then went on to compare size.... Not something we care to read and tweets or facebook entries like that will not make there way on this site. JERK!!!! I was thinking about this part of the lyric, but I'm not a poet, I wish I could replace Tyrone Power's name with Gerard Butler.... But can't find any good word that rhythms with Butler. Still, if you think that you can be an actor See Mister Factor (Max Factor - makeup artist) He'd make a monkey look good! Within a half an hour You'll look like Tyrone Power Gerard Butler (hunky action star) Hooray for Hollywood!

Oh Lord the same thing happened to Jake Gyllenhaal 2 weeks ago except that moron took a photo too and Jake had to fight to get it removed from the camera. I've said it before and I'll say it again society and it's morals are slipping. Being in a wheelchair I'm confronted with society "flattening" as we call it, on a regular basis. Poor Jake, but his, ah parts are exposed in Love And Other Drugs, and shown (thanks to screen caps) to the world on IMDb of all places! [read: yes, that's a shock] But to take photo is simply bad manners. Actually no manners. Glad that didn't happen to Gerry. (wipes brow) We have this "because we can" attitude. We all have gadgets that can snap a photo in seconds. People then can get it on the Internet in minutes and the rest is history. As for the amount of Tweets and FB and 411/sightings here. If you've been confronted (for lack of a better word) then someone is monitoring this site (I suspect). Like I said, he knows everything about him on the net. He's moles placed everywhere. He knows who is ratting him out with 411 because of what it is. The worst to rat him out are those he is supposed to trust like site admins, not saying anyone here. But they will go to other sites and post under different avatars stuff they know to get attention and be sought after. Same with the folks who have met him. They dangle stuff or speak with pretense and innuendo that they know more than they do to get this following or respect, etc from his fans who have not or cannot see him. Fans without disposable incomes. They like to think they're jealous that they can't travel and they can. Not so. That's how they rationalize it. It suits them people be jealous. These sighting send a certain invitation to go stalk or "see" him. Worst part are interruptions on sets by the squees and oos and aahs. Time is money on sets. His down time is his same like your is yours. No one wants to be hounded even if rich and famous. He doesn't owe us anything but a good performance, and not even that. He's one of the nicest men in Hollywerid, bar none but that doens' t make him anyone's property but his own. shouldntbehere Please be gentle I'm still learning. ~Robbie Williams

If you've been confronted (for lack of a better word) then someone is monitoring this site (I suspect). That had nothing to do with the sightings. But I'll let Dianne explain what happened. I think we all agree on that, either share your story or shut up! Even though you are right about that, on the other hand people watching a shoot can be great assets for both the movie and the area of the shoot. As long as you behave and follow the rules given by security and staff, people are welcome to watch. George Clooney was just shooting here in my area and there was something going on called "Clooneywatch" and even TV and radio stations gave clues on where they were shooting. I went a couple of times myself. Why not? It's free advertising for the movie and brings attention to the area which is great because a lot of areas can use every bit of attention and money coming in by visitors and of course by the movie crews themselves. As long as you behave there is absolutely nothing to say against people watching a shoot. They told us we were always welcome to watch as long as we play by the rules. They even allowed us to take pics which really was a surprise to me as long as it was without flash. I do not think anybody here will disagree with that.

SNBH - I totally agree with you. We (yes, I said we), forgot he's a human being and not property. I personally have been blessed to spend moments with him, always in a public appearance setting. I pride myself as the kind of fan he could be proud of because I don't intrude on his personal time, I don't "hunt him down", etc. I have no issue with movie set visits. Even though he's working, technically he's out in the public and if he didn't want to go out for autographs and pics he won't. I think I know Gerry well enough to know that man does not do a thing he does not want to. However, I also think there is a level of responsibility on his end toward his fans. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I believe it to some extent. I believe that Gerry continues to please his fans, especially those who are well known to him and his people and trusted, because we're his biggest support and promoters. I honestly believe we do a better job at promoting Gerry and his movies than Joy does. I know that many people in my school would never have seen TUT or TBH in the theaters had I not brought Gerry to their attention. I also think Gerry and his long-time, well-known fans have a beautiful symbiotic relationship. I know there have been times when he's been genuinely glad to see us. I think seeing familiar faces in the crowds gives Gerry a sense of security about his career and that he is still loved by the people who were there for him before 300 (and since). OK the responsibility part: We're his audience We put butts in the seats in the theaters. Every celeb needs loyal fans because we're part of his or her publicity. Plus, we make him feel good. If suddenly Gerry changed and wasn't as generous with his time and attention, I think it would really affect him in a negative way, more than it would the fans. We're so totally off topic, but I wanted to address your post because I honestly agree with you. Gerry has had people in his life that he thought he could trust and turned out he couldn't. Haven't we all? I hope he knows that he can absolutely trust many of his long-time and most loyal fans. There are those of us who would poke our own eyes out before betraying him or his trust; and I for one, can't imagine never seeing his beautiful face again. Mrs. B

Shouldn'tbehere... I'm going to do like Mrs Butler and Nickname you SBH...If I was saying it I would say your name is a mouthful.... but you know what I mean...LOL So SBH wrote: As for the amount of Tweets and FB and 411/sightings here. If you've been confronted (for lack of a better word) then someone is monitoring this site (I suspect). ___________________________________________ We've not heard from anyone in Gerry's camp so they must not be mad at us, and I would be lying if I said if we heard that Gerry was mad at us for printing the tweets we wouldn't be upset by that news. So as far as I know he is OK with what we are doing. But I believe you are right. I believe he does have moles watching the sites. I am sure that when I showed up at his place of work at the MGP site he knew who and what we were according to his reaction. He wasn't perplexed when he read my sign but he threw his head back and laughed....like OMG!
