I do not want to spoil your mood and conversation, but I sometimes prefer to think that Gerry is not worth so attention .. that has a lot of flaws .. I feel better then, because I know that I'll never get closer to him.Sometimes I prefer to think that the beauty of hisy and character should not be that important to me, It should not involve me, because the more I think about it, the worse I feel.

I get that. The infatuation hasn't lessened - he's a regular person going about his business, but I just adore him. I know I'll never meet him either, so what's the use? Not like it would ever be reciprocated! I guess we can just be happy for him and enjoy him from afar. It would be nice to see him with someone so that the feelings aren't so intense.
He does have flaws, just like all of us, but he's just so irresistible! Just can't get enough.....sigh.

First, you are NOT spoiling anything. Every opinion is welcome on this board. We don't always have to agree on everything. Trust me. LOL We all have our own place in the fandom, and our own way of expressing our admiration for Gerry. There is no right or wrong way (other than blatant harm to Gerry or anyone around him) to be a fan. We have to find our comfort zone, and our own line between reality and fantasy. It took me a year before I found mine, and I'm comfortable where I'm at with my fandom. Sometimes the line gets blurred, but at least I have the wherewithal to recognize it after a few days. LOL I know some fans who have to keep that distance as well, lest they become completely obsessed and filled with daily pain. It's the nature of fandom to sometimes get overly ardent toward the object of your desire. That's why everyone needs to respect each others' choices and how they choose to participate in any fandom. That's another thing about Gerry - he brings together women from all walks of life, from all races, religions, nationalities, economic statuses, emotional statuses, etc. It's not like the Twihards who are, for the most part, teenagers filled with angst and emotions. Gerry is a MAN who brings out the WOMAN in most of us, and that transcends everything. I also think we can be here for each other for that reality check, when the line gets blurred. It really is important AFTER personal appearances. It's the Post-Gerry Blues, the come down that knocks you on your ass after about a week of being on a better high than any drug could ever provide. He IS the drug!

Jonesing for that drug!!! I would have thought you'd have that satisfaction of seeing/meeting him to ground you, but I can see how that could just fuel the fire as well......sigh.....I think I've mentioned before, why couldn't he be married or gay?
But yes, we can share our angst here, and find support. I was going crazy a year ago, consumed, and I was quite shocked at how that had happened, quite out of the blue, happily married and all. I see now, though that it's not a unique phenomenon. Time.....waiting.....

You are all so right! All his imperfections make him so perfect. I used to like many celebrities like Johnny depp, Keanu Reeves, Francecso Totti, Russel Crowe... but I never had any sexual thoughts about them. Gerry got me trapped by his stare, his laughs, his boyish attitude, his pictures with his fingers in his nose hhhhhhhh + he's not arrogant like most Hollywood stars and so down to earth. I just can't stop watching his interviews on youtube, he's so mmmm natural, he doesn't even try to fake anything.
