ALL OF THE ABOVE It's sad that people want so much to be loved, but actually believe that their outward appearance is more important than what's on the inside - that it will get them the love they seek... it could be no further from the truth. [shadow=red,left,300]INNER BEAUTY manifests itself on the OUTWARD when given a chance to BE SEEN and flourish...[/shadow] Just look at his inner beauty here... He's not in the limelight - he's natural, warm, friendly, appreciative, unpretentious, POETRY in MOTION, beauty in its most pure form. OUR GERRY!! Attachments:

You know, I'm going to admit something that you'll probably go "WTF?!" ... I sometimes wonder if I would consider Gerry the most beautiful man in the world if it wasn't for the beauty he exudes from the inside out. Now, let me qualify that statement. Looking over the past and all the men I've been attracted to, Gerry is near the top but really I've never been attracted to someone like Gerry before. I've always been into the pretty boys. I always found Gerry attractive, like in ROF, and when I saw Phantom for the first time I was blown away by the performance and the character. I looked him up on IMDB and thought, "Oh that's the good looking best from from ROF," and let it go. Then saw him in 300 and though, "Oh great body, gorgeous legs, etc." ... and let it go. Then when I got the 300 DVD and watched the behind the scenes things and then watched the Leno interviews online, it was THEN that Gerry became STUNNING to me. And the more I learned about the person that he is, the more beautiful he became to me. So while I DO believe that Gerry is absolutely the most beautiful, gorgeous, rugged man on the face of the planet, over time it was his inner Gerry, the person that he is, faults and all, that have made me fall in love with him. No man can now ever compare, and while I still enjoy the pretty boy (don't get me started on my Supernatural Boys), it's the MAN that Gerry is that has ruined me for any other man that comes across my path.

I agree Mrs. B... That's why I commented on inner beauty "having the chance to be seen"... I don't think he's gorgeous all the time, but who is? If someone thinks they are, they're fooling themselves - that's not the type of people I find attractive or even feel compelled to have as friends. I'm not "into" pretty boys, as you can tell Then again, the hollywood scene is not really my bag - It's like warped reality T.V., a soap opera, and the Comedy Network all rolled up into one. That being said, it can be interesting eh? Of course, I love the pics of Gerry... I saw some of Gerry's movies and never knew who he was. I think it's mainly because his roles have been so diverse that I didn't recognize him as being the same man. It wasn't until PSILY that I noticed "something" that I couldn't quite put my finger on... some quality that revealed something about what his true character must be. It was then that I took the time to get to know who he was as a person. To think that if it weren't for PSILY, I probably still wouldn't KNOW him... I would't even care 'cause ignorance is bliss - and, you can't love what you don't know... And, you know, it's not even important for me to see every single movie he's done or will do in the future - it's not what I'm interested in, though I will promote his movies wherever and whenever I can. I want to know HIM, not the actor. Does that make sense?

Oh Vero, believe me, I UNDERSTAND! I can't stand it when so many fans think of Gerry only as one of his characters, and are then disappointed because *gasp* he's NOT! People forget he's a person. Just a guy. A perfect specimen of a guy, but still, a guy nonetheless. Dawne, where did your post go?

That's probably when we see those snarky comments about something he's "supposedly" said or done - he's stepped out of that "idea" of Gerry - the one they've created based on one of some of the roles he's played. Sure, I love some of the characters he's portrayed, but because of the little piece of Gerry [glow=red,2,300]himself [/glow]that I can see... And, the fact that HE's a sexy beast in those roles... Gotta run Bella

Leave it to you guys to turn this thread into a perve fest. LOL Yes Gerry has a beautiful belly, sexy and gorgeous. But even though I've seen many other really gorgeous men in the media, it's only Gerry that I really have any desire to touch or fondle. LOL It's only because of who he is, the type of man that he is that does it for me. Those ancient Celtic rugged looks of his drive me wild with passion.

Pretty boys don't interest me, more often times than not, they are more vain and shallow then some of the women who know they are beautiful and flaunt it whenever they can. I agree with you Mrs. B, Gerry attractiveness comes from within, it's his silliness, his generosity, his humbleness (is that even a word? ), the fact that he's always surprised when women scream for him ... it's everything all rolled into a ruggedly handsome package (don't get me started on his package, I'll be here all day ).

I am in complete agreement with you all. I would love for him to play poker with my husband, hang out with me, and ask me for relationship advice, play with my kids as an 'uncle Gerry'. Sure, if I were single, I would hunt him down, but in another life. His personality is IT. Anyone can be sexy, good looking, handsome - but his nature, his boyish cheekiness, honesty, say it like it is, what you see is what you get - just gotta love it. That goes a long way. He's fun loving, caring from what we can see - when he's with fans - not a snob, not coastal with fame, just enjoying the ride. Now, come enjoy in TO for a little while so we can get a look! Seeing him on talk shows, being a regular guy, is so much more entertaining than his roles (though I love those as well, I'm not crazy!). That's the real Gerry, and that's what puts a smile on my face. What I would give to be on his speed dial - as a friend. If anything else unfolds.....*wink And I've said it before, I would love to meet him but not at a fan-frenzied event, or premiere, rather bump into him on the street, shop, by chance. I don't think I would be able to just go up to him if I saw him with a group of friends - not to intrude and be a freaky fan. Oh, we can dream...and I do!

I followed Gerry's career for years, thinking he was a good actor, and whenever I would see a new movie come out with him, I would get excited and go see it.
From PSILY it went slowly downhill, or should I say uphill, for me with Gerry. I was getting hooked fast, and there was no turning back. Then once I started watching his interviews, all his funny clips and videos on You Tube, that was it for for me. Just like a lot of you guys, Gerry's personality is what really got me, and like you all said, it's his inner beauty that really make him shine. I have several friends, I have turned on to Gerry. They had all seen some of his movies, and thought he was alright, but once I sent them links to his interviews, they were done for...just like me...
