I'd like to see Gerry paired with Rachael McAdams, I think she's beautiful and they would have chemistry.

Interesting Dianne maybe that could be a separate thread, movie ideas and who we would pair with Gerry with just from our own imagination or from novels like Outlander and Black Dagger vs industry rumours. Or we already have such a thread. And if someone uses our ideas can we get a cut?
For example I could see Rachel and Gerard in a period piece, perhaps based in Ireland or Scotland - not Merchant Ivoryish type period piece something more organic, to use a Hollywood term.

Okay, since Dianne got him to come to Michigan through sheer willpower, I think we all need to get him to come to Oklahoma. "The Hanging Tale" would work. Alright girls, start using the positive mental imagery....think about this movie coming to Oklahoma. Worth a shot, right? BTW, after my cousins were on "The Amazing Race" this year, my best friend from HS was just on Jeopardy. I was telling this to my babysitter and then mentioned that I was waiting for my 15 minutes of fame just so I could meet Gerard Butler. She then replies, "Take me with you." So Gerry, if you get it set up, I'll come and visit you and I'll bring a cute college girl with me. Is that a deal?

Julia Stiles is supposed to play his wife in Burns. I read somewhere that she told Gerry she would make sure to be available whenever Burns was filmed. While I think she's a bit young to be his wife in a movie, I think she's a great actress.

Kate Beckinsdale and Gerry could be very hot if there is chemistry there, you can never tell until you film people, sometimes real chemistry doesn't translate on screen and vis versa, and maybe not have her husband directing, LOL.

JMHO here, but I really don't want to see Gerry do The Grey. I would MUCH rather see him do White Jazz! I think that would be a perfect role for him. I hope it's safe to say this hear, but I DO NOT WANT HIM TO DO SLIDE! It sounds so stupid and nothing special about it at all. I do hope Burns gets done one of these days. IMDB shows it in production now, not just pre-production so whatever that means. LOL I hope Gerry can see his dream come true with that movie.

I agree Mrs.Butler I think Gerry as the police officer moonlighting as a hit man sounds very fascinating and different than anything he has done, though actually I'd love to see him do both movies, both sound more appealing to me than some of the other projects his name gets linked too, excluding of course the Evil Twins future projects. Now that a sequel to How To Train Your Dragon has been announced I am sure Gerry will do it, that's good money for comparatively little work and you can squeeze that in around your other projects. If Gerry is set on playing the lead in Burns he has to get to it sooner than later at this point unless he is content to cast someone else or at least as younger Burns depending on how much of the life they are going to cover.
I like the way the Johnny Cash biopic, Walk the Line only really covered a portion of Johnny Cash's life, the key part really, not the whole shebang. That has to be one of the better biopic in recent memory that and the fact Joaquin and Reese did the actual singing.

A very curious article to come almost out of nowhere Last Updated : 01.07.2010 18:34 clockComments Hollywood soon wears white -green Elke Höller start her film project " Tucked Away ". In the main part: Gerard Butler. Cineplexx Graz : In the foyer on the first floor presents author Elke Höller their new project . In the small frame. Although what she tells the guests there, a touch of the great world contains. " to my script, Tucked Away 'is finally a film. Gerard Butler plays the main character , "she says calmly. Aja , and the Scot , who is from movies like " 300 "and "PS I Love You "is known to be the only Hollywood star , Hoeller has already said " yes ". Even Jeremy Irons, Queen Latifah and Rupert Everett their appearance in the thriller about New York police have promised verbally. The 32 -year-old remains as long as no contracts are signed still cautious: "Let's say that is my wish list. " The soundtrack is by the way in Austrian hands . The setting takes composer Peter Wolf. Höller , too, could decide for themselves. After much back and forth it did, her own production company founded and is involved in every decision. The relatively slender production of 23 million euros it has distended by investors. "We want to start shooting in autumn ", the Graz- pleased with a second residence in Los Angeles. In the dream factory , part of the strip are turned, but also on location like New York , Scotland and Sicily. For the coming year Höller is the culmination of three and a half years of work. Great information and great detective work Canadia, and thanks so much for the links. I like the storyline. Isn't it amazing how long it takes to get a film into production. It will be interesting to see if this will actually be Gerry's next film.

We had Tinkerbell come on and verify the translation of this German Article and indeed the writer/producer Elke Hoeller is stating that Gerry is committed to this movie projects, that the other Hollywood actors she mentions, Jeremy Irons, Queen Latifah and Rupert Everett, have verbally agreed to be in this movie with filming to start this fall.
We will keep digging to see if this film project is mentioned anywhere else and keep our eye out for anything confirming the status of this film project. I'll start by seeing if I can see what is up with those three actors mentioned above.
Given the location of Sicily we have to assume the Mafia is in this storyline about NY cops, but Scotland? Scotland got a Mafia? LOL. Mind you maybe she worked into the storyline to make Gerry happy! After all isn't he the Ambassador of the Glasgow Film Commission, gotta bring the business home.

This is off topic but speaking of Mafia, we got the shock of our life when my in-laws neighbor died a couple of years ago. He lived next door to my in-laws for years. He had a built in pool and they invited my hubby when he was a teenager to use it when ever he wanted... Very Nice man. He never had any children and he was up for doing anything with my husband when he was an older teen into his twenties and they went to numerous concerts together and after we were married they went to a few sporting events. He was on disability and never worked, but he always had lots of cash and every other year he bought two brand new white Cadillacs for him and his wife, they went on all kinds of trips, and he was a former teamster. We never put two and two together. At his funeral we sat there and watched one gangster after another eulogize him. The talked about him running books and how he taught this one guy to keep one book for himself (the real book) and a fake book for the government to see. After a couple of guys gave their speeches about him I whispered to my husband..."OMG Tom was in the Mafia!" We felt like we were in an episode of the Sopranos.
